Past, Present, Future

I've signed up for the first time at Creative Every Day 2014 and the theme for this month is Past, Present, Future ( see it here).  This is such a good theme for the start of a new year.

Something I do at the end of each year is to review the year just gone so I can give thanks to God and pray about the coming year.  I make a list of all the good things that have happened and another list of the things I'm aiming for in the coming year.  Of course I journal all this in my regular (written) prayer journal and this year I also made a page in my art journal.  I say this year because I only started art journaling this year.  I still haven't worked out how to convert my written prayer journal into a complete art journal!  Here's my page:

I divided the backround into sections and coloured with Derwent Inktense blocks which I love then stenciled in the layered trees and flying geese - 2 wonderful new stencils which I got for Christmas!

I doodled in the dots and circles and added journaling in each section:

Art journaling is definitely going to be a big feature of 2014!

And btw, the link on Creative Every Day doesn't work - the end of your address is missing. Just thought I'd let you know so you can rectify and receive all the lovely encouragement I'm sure people are waiting to share :)
