Light

Light!  What a contrast to my previous page which was mostly black and grey!  (see it here)   I started my 'Light' page on Christmas Day after getting inspired in my prayer time.  I had reflected on the wonder of Jesus being born in a stable all those years ago and still being very much with us today.  This is what I read in my bible:

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth
John 1: 4-5, 9, 14

Here's my page on light.  Since it was Christmas Day it had to be a quick page!  So I grabbed my cosmic shimmer mists, sprayed then did a little stenciling in white.

I did the rays with the Tim Holtz layering stencil called .... Rays of course :)  I embossed them with snowflake embossing powder and I think its such a cool effect:

Then things got busy and I had to stop!  I only finished the page yesterday.  I wasn't quite sure what to do next, I didn't want to detract from the rays or cover up the colour so I simply added journaling all along the rays.
I really like this page.  Its so simple but I love the colour and the sparkly rays.  It really does remind me that Jesus is the Light of the World.  As I turn to Jesus and allow His life and His light into my life, there won't be room for any darkness.

May 2014 be a light filled and blessed year for you.

I saw some of your other pieces in the margins and they are beautiful. You have a great eye for color and composition! As Ophelia said, the light page makes "me feel so happy!!" Have a great year.
