Waiting Takes Time

How many times have you prayed to God for something, not had an answer and then tried to sort things out for yourself?  I know that I have but its the wrong thing to do!  This is what I've been tempted to do in a recent situation but I just know that God is telling me to wait and He is going to bring the solution marvellously about.  Sometimes God doesn't answer but it doesn't mean that the answer isn't going to come.

Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him
Ps 37: 7

This verse says it all.  We are to be still in His presence and draw the strength and grace we need from Him.  We mustn't get in the way of what God is going to do by hurrying ahead trying to force something to happen.  He will answer but we need to wait and waiting takes time.

Here is my art journal page where I've combined the current topics at PaperArtsy - Flowers and Art Journal Journey - Time.

The idea for the clock flowers came from Leandra at PaperArtsy where she added clock flowers to a journal spread for a previous topic on Time.  I loved the concept of clock flowers and they were just right for my page.  I ended up with a black backround because I didn't like my initital backround.  I like the hint of blue showing through:

I played with stencils and paint and texture paste - always fun:

I added ribbon for the stems and ricrac for leaves:

I stamped the clocks on card I had painted, I wanted this to be a bright cheery page:

Finally I wrote the words and painted them in:

This page was really fun to do and came together quickly - LOL, I didn't have to be patient for this one!

  5. Like your clock flowers. I've often used ric-rac on scrapbooking pages, but never on a journal page. I'll have to try it. Thanks for the idea.
