The Theme for February is Castles and we have had to do all sorts of different things from watercolours to making our own journal. <br />
<br />
We had to paint a castle in watercolour and this was a huge challenge for me because I am not an artist and had never ever done a watercolour before. Yes I had used watercolours on my stamped cards etc but never to actually paint a picture. I enjoyed it so much I did two in the end. Here is one of Lindisfarne Castle which is on Holy Island in Northumberland:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdNaVb1g0ZLV4WSSiBKr6LUoMUAHgyDlD-OZ82MzLFZKaGOinYjanwc-V7aPXNPfbRs8WQ9AUt1eVKHnImVqrbiS6RX_LPZcJtrBjaFe9xe2x2ElNvsyo1jWeCyAbA0GQsNWxezIlEUibz/s1600/P1020979.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdNaVb1g0ZLV4WSSiBKr6LUoMUAHgyDlD-OZ82MzLFZKaGOinYjanwc-V7aPXNPfbRs8WQ9AUt1eVKHnImVqrbiS6RX_LPZcJtrBjaFe9xe2x2ElNvsyo1jWeCyAbA0GQsNWxezIlEUibz/s400/P1020979.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
and this is Huntly Castle:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBMFwui4UQUZmQr1IvdebimtlicaeBxVQetCnyyMJtp4rMfDv5lN9v_nBr0ZtN0S_knhByLO3U_sYJfwN3sEbGU60lNSV__8FVB8Z4_W-CQYsEjKJJJoRBGnNp4l4rHuisVLpbn-CnSItN/s1600/P1020982.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBMFwui4UQUZmQr1IvdebimtlicaeBxVQetCnyyMJtp4rMfDv5lN9v_nBr0ZtN0S_knhByLO3U_sYJfwN3sEbGU60lNSV__8FVB8Z4_W-CQYsEjKJJJoRBGnNp4l4rHuisVLpbn-CnSItN/s400/P1020982.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Next we had to make a Castle Gates journal. I used paper from my stash which I had had for a long time for the inside pages and then used the scraps in a paper patchwork for the covers:<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2JIqky3zBlMP0CE5OKll6F6IAu_G2VW7JsLe3Fj8sGkBiJpHxNHiOzDRuglFcICRwLgMdS1ci3sHes3thqMUZ12Eur5ggk-A8UYejYLMronARw0ddeMOBSnIP1jLtWh7olLbwG9culB42/s1600/P1030008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2JIqky3zBlMP0CE5OKll6F6IAu_G2VW7JsLe3Fj8sGkBiJpHxNHiOzDRuglFcICRwLgMdS1ci3sHes3thqMUZ12Eur5ggk-A8UYejYLMronARw0ddeMOBSnIP1jLtWh7olLbwG9culB42/s400/P1030008.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyxqjQCA5NpvrvC0V5IdBvD3bWW4QcrEZB2bnQ8LDPobKnf9e4PsHWdkqq_jcFkpwDM_ZM29seQMgJUEvOSjlJCCW6y-cD-2-CfDtGN2B59hXubQP0xK9tqD_WRCtVQKyTZwkQX9muay5l/s1600/P1030011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyxqjQCA5NpvrvC0V5IdBvD3bWW4QcrEZB2bnQ8LDPobKnf9e4PsHWdkqq_jcFkpwDM_ZM29seQMgJUEvOSjlJCCW6y-cD-2-CfDtGN2B59hXubQP0xK9tqD_WRCtVQKyTZwkQX9muay5l/s400/P1030011.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
We had to bind it using kettle stitch:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCNyW0biESJo10ODuo4wh4pq_gEUtGTcIwyCz0uPtwgf3lOWI9FJnrZWlPj0FowXsHVxjPofWPzXkG15AWtRPTlZ-KTbLe5mhYizEC1vnHGLEh_Kcasm_l2rzNHnydkAnumtRX1Gn3CrK-/s1600/P1030013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCNyW0biESJo10ODuo4wh4pq_gEUtGTcIwyCz0uPtwgf3lOWI9FJnrZWlPj0FowXsHVxjPofWPzXkG15AWtRPTlZ-KTbLe5mhYizEC1vnHGLEh_Kcasm_l2rzNHnydkAnumtRX1Gn3CrK-/s400/P1030013.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
For this week's class we did a journal page using a photocopied picture of a castle wall which we had to colour. We had to include a picture and words and add a story or journaling. The castle walls spoke to me of prison, hardship, problems, etc. And the lovely vibrant colour spoke to me of hope and faith and the power that Jesus gives us to overcome whatever comes our way:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKRDop28YBxPA-d-t9_P7TSrz7U6xdng7TKnvwjDF6Gx9PoWYFwUf6KvOrWjpEXkAqJ3KxYMDSmzR-aaSJNsjM1Cb08YBBMAlNn7fWpKb4ozAzrBlVOaAqXGkMBQvKhWQnG5jgDIlIm86e/s1600/P1020995.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKRDop28YBxPA-d-t9_P7TSrz7U6xdng7TKnvwjDF6Gx9PoWYFwUf6KvOrWjpEXkAqJ3KxYMDSmzR-aaSJNsjM1Cb08YBBMAlNn7fWpKb4ozAzrBlVOaAqXGkMBQvKhWQnG5jgDIlIm86e/s640/P1020995.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I used a picture of my husband and kids on a walk in Wales. I tore a hole in the page and added the journaling behind the picture:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyMlrhAoIr31V0I9u5EHIoanQBN-Jv-wiC9KBDcL_kQUxDJGLscPAi1KFgvX_c1Ck9uHYST_TVMj_bl7wm7riftn1WMuizLjIpIaTDbrhRSmbJeAjFT8P1LGeHIrwrv-IunN5rgcvY6X9V/s1600/P1020999.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyMlrhAoIr31V0I9u5EHIoanQBN-Jv-wiC9KBDcL_kQUxDJGLscPAi1KFgvX_c1Ck9uHYST_TVMj_bl7wm7riftn1WMuizLjIpIaTDbrhRSmbJeAjFT8P1LGeHIrwrv-IunN5rgcvY6X9V/s400/P1020999.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The castle wall was printed on plain photocopy paper so we had to use medium first and then in between the layers of colour. I used Portfolios:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFDN7hW69JSlk_a_JMvQWfqfJInyf0VAYTbPXipN_FsgE-tmyGtDgBbqwlGpnj1RMh1iJQpgtRz8X2MzoWbLzJFd1vUCYIbQfJMNYTZJ_mtzHo5BKT0iJPIubW8b6NbJvUfyBN2kJjgVhB/s1600/P1020997.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFDN7hW69JSlk_a_JMvQWfqfJInyf0VAYTbPXipN_FsgE-tmyGtDgBbqwlGpnj1RMh1iJQpgtRz8X2MzoWbLzJFd1vUCYIbQfJMNYTZJ_mtzHo5BKT0iJPIubW8b6NbJvUfyBN2kJjgVhB/s640/P1020997.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It was really great doing this page and remembering all the times that Jesus has helped me through some very difficult and even impossible situations. When I trust in Him He is always there to help, strengthen and give wisdom.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We've had a couple of other activities to do in our art journals but I'll save those for another post.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Blessings to you.</div>

First of all we had to do a collage using pictures from old magazines which spoke to us about ourselves and our lives. Then we had to write down things about our past, present and future on a separate piece of paper. We cut all the sentences and words into strips and selected from these pieces to make a poem which we stuck over the collage. On the other side of the art journal we drew round our hands and doodled three sections representing our past, present and future:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJKNzxeN4QgkWgCEq9l_Znmq6OrplhPtHfPOE_ZbMEaBVCAyUWG9IBadNPhw3f0O0JjyWvjicv98xkPD8ohuc-S05Ds0QGNfJLswETTyrUaiSDskyTdMKYNr50-kmFo63XxsL1li4DZKox/s1600/P1020961.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJKNzxeN4QgkWgCEq9l_Znmq6OrplhPtHfPOE_ZbMEaBVCAyUWG9IBadNPhw3f0O0JjyWvjicv98xkPD8ohuc-S05Ds0QGNfJLswETTyrUaiSDskyTdMKYNr50-kmFo63XxsL1li4DZKox/s400/P1020961.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I thought the poem would be hard but I am pleased with how it came together and it really does show where I am at. Kasia encouraged us to do our own handwriting and mine is very messy!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxVVUJ1bOW6c5HxzQGVvctXcWkDn1IQGxgJ2wPOB1nGToWcyq4q8fIw2tBrfl6tewQg_83R_jwLurBydmTUQvmP68vQvkStRr6xFe_DtDbP_ocB0syPgV_t-gQ6evSBDl7PySlDgnQxy7w/s1600/P1020962.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxVVUJ1bOW6c5HxzQGVvctXcWkDn1IQGxgJ2wPOB1nGToWcyq4q8fIw2tBrfl6tewQg_83R_jwLurBydmTUQvmP68vQvkStRr6xFe_DtDbP_ocB0syPgV_t-gQ6evSBDl7PySlDgnQxy7w/s640/P1020962.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The collage was fun to do and I noticed, AFTER I had finished the page, that the words seemed to go with the pictures quite by accident! eg 'the flowers in my garden' is over the picture of the bouquet of roses and the 'going deeper' is over the spade:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVb9TfwhSHw2WaeRSJVD7IeFZyBykDrsdT9B_i-0wQK_mzDUJRvEJv6ZnPVeTttwLZQx2ePIDWzA7khtvtKo9pVmHH7n43b0bkNKembaT3aOrc_HvCU2ZrH1vVOb_zmFg_jIp-jlgdBB3I/s1600/P1020964.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVb9TfwhSHw2WaeRSJVD7IeFZyBykDrsdT9B_i-0wQK_mzDUJRvEJv6ZnPVeTttwLZQx2ePIDWzA7khtvtKo9pVmHH7n43b0bkNKembaT3aOrc_HvCU2ZrH1vVOb_zmFg_jIp-jlgdBB3I/s640/P1020964.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The hand was really fun to decorate. Loved doing the doodling and I coloured it with watercolour pencils:<br />
<br />

<br />
For the border we had to scrape gesso and then medium and make patterns in it with a skewer. After leaving to dry Kasia used distress crayons to colour it which I don't have. I managed to resist rushing out to buy some! and I used my Portfolios instead. The idea was to work the colour into the grooves of the patterns.<br />

<br />
This was such a great class and as well as all the fun creating it was good to think about our path, where we had come from and where we are hoping to go. I feel I'm in a season of waiting at the moment - waiting for grief over the loss of my Mum to pass; waiting for a hip replacement; waiting to be able to do the things again which I haven't been able to do for ages because of the state of my hips; waiting for spring. However, God meets me and keeps me in the waiting so all is well, very very well :)<br />
<br />
Blessings to you.SCarolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03025438465506639967noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6099181109574103407.post-89656029050152909782018-01-25T19:13:00.000+00:002018-01-25T19:19:06.094+00:00Wanderlust wk 3 MandalasOver on <a href="http://www.everything-art.com/">Wanderlust</a>, a year long on-line class, week 3 was with Jennifer Lee who showed us how to make Mandalas out of paper cut into different shapes. I love playing with paper pieces and glue so I simply loved this class. <br />
<br />
Jennifer showed us how to do two different ones. The first was a manadala bloom using three different sizes of circle cut by hand rather than a die or punch. I chose warm colours for this one after sifting through my big box of paper. I made a backround with collaged torn paper pieces, with gesso painted over. You start by placing the large circles all around the outside and then build the layers inwards, going with the smaller circles on each layer. I added doodled dots and dashes to highlight.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9pEKv5yfowyJAHL4QpDXYIlKueWBZldZttFiiuhbUG8bglhD8H9fnstlx79ws4DggNR1N59swxrPNoH8y3Nt1iJ3mPTJrUEBY0ZYq2QzMTeLMK5kIlYZjwGU0o9xI_uA5IOaHoGe4EeuI/s1600/P1020942.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9pEKv5yfowyJAHL4QpDXYIlKueWBZldZttFiiuhbUG8bglhD8H9fnstlx79ws4DggNR1N59swxrPNoH8y3Nt1iJ3mPTJrUEBY0ZYq2QzMTeLMK5kIlYZjwGU0o9xI_uA5IOaHoGe4EeuI/s400/P1020942.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
We had to make a compass mandala out of paper pieces cut from maps for the next one and I initially didn't have a clue how I was going to do this one. However, after raiding all our travel books and even an old atlas I got to it. For this one we worked from the centre out. The starting point was a circle with four large, long triangles placed around it. Then I took out my punches and had a play. This is what I came up with and it was so much fun to do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVo0eRVOtRxOwYBbRZwTBNP2e8yhjyfQKoT39b3Ou4nJlhyphenhyphensKQXvzbFZBB0RxWjD90gbIpiDnGKj7Wv3f-SwvSIGOy6Dta4RoqvyjZypZAVlahe9mNs8HcGjJcythPkyzKl9euMS7xfSC6/s1600/P1020948.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVo0eRVOtRxOwYBbRZwTBNP2e8yhjyfQKoT39b3Ou4nJlhyphenhyphensKQXvzbFZBB0RxWjD90gbIpiDnGKj7Wv3f-SwvSIGOy6Dta4RoqvyjZypZAVlahe9mNs8HcGjJcythPkyzKl9euMS7xfSC6/s400/P1020948.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Using the different maps was fun:<br />

Lastly I doodled a border the North sign: <br />

I enjoyed the mandalas so much that I made another bloom one, this time as a flower shape in cool pastal colours:<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
This was a really fun week on Wanderlust. Its been a big help to have this to concentrate on - as I said in an earlier post, I lost my Mum at the beginning of the year and am devasted. I've been really touched by all the messages of condolences and support, both from my friends in the real world and here on blogland. Also on a Facebook craft group I belong to called Maremi's Creative Cafe which is a really great group where we can share all our creations whatever they are. People are incredibly supportive, so come along and have a look.<br />

</div>
My lovely Mum passed away early in the New Year and I am missing her so much. She was 90 and all last year she was fading and had clearly had enough. The last month her body started to pack up and we knew it was the end. So we knew she was going to die and I thought I was prepared for it.....<br />
But I wasn't! I've been taken aback at how upset I have been - because I knew that she was dying and thought I had grieved and accepted it already. I guess nothing prepares us for losing our mothers. I am finding it hard to think that I am never going to see her, never talk to her, never share anything with her again - the pain of searing loss. <br />
<br />
When I was clearing away her things I came across loads of the cards which I had made her and which she kept. I couldn't throw them all away so I hung on to a few of them. This is the one I made her for her 90th birthday which she loved. I sponged the backround with distress inks then stamped these Paper Artsy stamps which I love.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW3tvHcUiBffm5ahjDoGUV6kWcCXHllTFIxdPKpC15d8c1pgrv4FIZhUakEIduJ8Tiu4H2IRpVDxQ7LM0V29uQGmHH7uyKq_mqE7RBUfYjnUcvZ62ES_QqER0mR5uZxZTy2_jp_sdtzPZP/s1600/P1020941.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW3tvHcUiBffm5ahjDoGUV6kWcCXHllTFIxdPKpC15d8c1pgrv4FIZhUakEIduJ8Tiu4H2IRpVDxQ7LM0V29uQGmHH7uyKq_mqE7RBUfYjnUcvZ62ES_QqER0mR5uZxZTy2_jp_sdtzPZP/s400/P1020941.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Grief is a painful thing and we've just got to let it run its course. I take comfort in all the wonderful memories I have of her, of her
kindness, generosity and love. Also that I was able to pray with her
towards the end and it brought her comfort and peace.<br />

Its going to be really challenging and I can't wait!<br />
<br />
I decided to make my own art journal for this. I picked up an A3 acrylic paper pad from Hobbycraft for only £5! I cut the pages down to size leaving several with flaps to make the pages:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9kytUarySRya4NTVorP5_p9iHROJ79w1KJIsghEASm13CTKqLLe3L2HH_dQKgyBbKG8Ls3t2qsW-7QWvyD1yZNTN8KwP-OZRak02sag0HffCiTKVnYN_ds9poePxkXtpZhEnfksGqZJKP/s1600/P1020892.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9kytUarySRya4NTVorP5_p9iHROJ79w1KJIsghEASm13CTKqLLe3L2HH_dQKgyBbKG8Ls3t2qsW-7QWvyD1yZNTN8KwP-OZRak02sag0HffCiTKVnYN_ds9poePxkXtpZhEnfksGqZJKP/s400/P1020892.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I sewed these into an old book cover which I had painted. I'll decorate the cover when the journal is complete:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaXTr2n079fs9tbjfUBDA2KBqNkCMa9L8if6mRzshp_VluOUveLRkZE1QXhyphenhyphenyQOEk-BXYDN7yEvJGckOfaNt1HykWHzj9T2Db047fNWzsI9YCp5DuW3EpN5chL42f50N4MKGDvYGs9FcNT/s1600/P1020896.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaXTr2n079fs9tbjfUBDA2KBqNkCMa9L8if6mRzshp_VluOUveLRkZE1QXhyphenhyphenyQOEk-BXYDN7yEvJGckOfaNt1HykWHzj9T2Db047fNWzsI9YCp5DuW3EpN5chL42f50N4MKGDvYGs9FcNT/s400/P1020896.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I made an envelope to stick in the inside front cover. I brayered several colours on a 12x12 piece of scrapbook paper:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Wk2YKRSsx59oV6qGo-Snc4GLslfOBgfdjdBzCkNIuvptTIXJyqwV2XI9e0FgIGCIbg12qfFI3W78BMQVkLnFO8YAYR_qMFCMsqywEdeEvD1w3KZ6gtqxIelJW6lhP9YZL9vOEyp0fY1Z/s1600/P1020879.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Wk2YKRSsx59oV6qGo-Snc4GLslfOBgfdjdBzCkNIuvptTIXJyqwV2XI9e0FgIGCIbg12qfFI3W78BMQVkLnFO8YAYR_qMFCMsqywEdeEvD1w3KZ6gtqxIelJW6lhP9YZL9vOEyp0fY1Z/s400/P1020879.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I made a template from an envelope and used this to make the envelope:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-WHlVH4peSth16PoeSyVa8rIhTgfBybjKvGWvgqG0d2BpepXP186JDeoc6lZVoQzFgEts6g7jnKDAyeC0mIccSr3P0js0J6w7wbCwcUTngJ0hj55iyVbOuflBAwo2-EXoCo00OyUds2yw/s1600/P1020884.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-WHlVH4peSth16PoeSyVa8rIhTgfBybjKvGWvgqG0d2BpepXP186JDeoc6lZVoQzFgEts6g7jnKDAyeC0mIccSr3P0js0J6w7wbCwcUTngJ0hj55iyVbOuflBAwo2-EXoCo00OyUds2yw/s320/P1020884.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I also added a few other pages using some papers which I had in my stash made after taking Kasia' earlybird Dynamic Paper Painting class which was amazing fun:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeq5r4fmGP3QakuJqJT7tZs7LBCDYol26tcJtuTwtKpHtqtpl09dhX6BRZQ_PXvmVOonWP8SVV526a5lpbihoV9Z9k-ZGl9-nV4EwB44HcgU0YAyDj667rM7e_7BP-sRB4qgLlksWVQRR-/s1600/P1020902.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeq5r4fmGP3QakuJqJT7tZs7LBCDYol26tcJtuTwtKpHtqtpl09dhX6BRZQ_PXvmVOonWP8SVV526a5lpbihoV9Z9k-ZGl9-nV4EwB44HcgU0YAyDj667rM7e_7BP-sRB4qgLlksWVQRR-/s400/P1020902.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
We also had some freebie inserts to add to get our journals personalised and ready. Here is my inside front cover:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR-qs_vYdS7hiEaKauOkY3mIKKThSMRW-HZ4BAoqU6DQmnrzkY_KuufKVHliO2AgChcWxIotimw9Ncd3l2pB19Manymnvz2YJzBXCBztPg5cm7C7QZq5yS45xweDSzfk0tkTRLsQm4Jcna/s1600/P1020901.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR-qs_vYdS7hiEaKauOkY3mIKKThSMRW-HZ4BAoqU6DQmnrzkY_KuufKVHliO2AgChcWxIotimw9Ncd3l2pB19Manymnvz2YJzBXCBztPg5cm7C7QZq5yS45xweDSzfk0tkTRLsQm4Jcna/s400/P1020901.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

<br />SCarolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03025438465506639967noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6099181109574103407.post-47458507659827769002017-12-15T17:00:00.002+00:002017-12-16T18:35:10.665+00:00Hello again!Hello again, fellow bloggers and anyone else popping in. Its been ages since I posted, a whole year and a half in fact! Lots has happened since, both good and not so good. Last year was completely taken up with my daughter's wedding, a very happy time. I was busy making all the invites, then a post box and also all the thank you cards, all co-ordinated of course. We chose different shades of blue and teal and a touch of silver and stamped dandelions....but because I was taking a break from blogging I forgot to take any photos 😞 Never mind.<br />
<br />
This year has been a long struggle with several health issues. I'm better now though I need to have a double hip replacement sometime, yikes!! Managed to survive and keep positive most of the time, though there were some very dark moments. However, its at those times that I find that God gives me extra strength and grace and a very precious comfort. I look back and see how very close Jesus was to me and He still is!<br />
<br />
Enough about me and on to the fun creating stuff. Its Christmas time again, yay, and that means I have a big session of bookmark making which is one of my favourite things. I give them as little gifts to friends. We've just had an unexpected dollop of snow here in the UK, great excitement because everything grinds to a halt until we get used to it and then its gone! So the theme for this year had to be snowflakes mainly though I mixed it up with a few trees.<br />
<br />
Here they all are:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6k5EdPqOmX2eh3STpL9r_br8crECYooyA-9O7mDSHFcEXnh56GE0j_jhru3_wQcVwiQZ13hxkHTSUtCYw2dTHz_IXSl0rBbzbSju8k2BXQTZiD5VEV4GKbROhUkvcIVNise7b0XJJHViG/s1600/P1020868.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6k5EdPqOmX2eh3STpL9r_br8crECYooyA-9O7mDSHFcEXnh56GE0j_jhru3_wQcVwiQZ13hxkHTSUtCYw2dTHz_IXSl0rBbzbSju8k2BXQTZiD5VEV4GKbROhUkvcIVNise7b0XJJHViG/s400/P1020868.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I love taking just a few supplies and getting a production line going. For these I mainly used distress inks sponged and spattered with water for the backround, then stamped with various snowflakes and embossed with my favourite snowflake powder embossing powder which has a lovely sparkle which doesn't show up in the photo:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxAcHFUW_bAC8CehotQXDmuqnsLrvZtRavuW3Jt9qEuCRxMFInyY8W5vEYb1XqNyuqVWsZsVEqt3WL0yfwkXaLDmWPWet94jT-Pr075iGSEJ8G5b_JTuQusJH1HiMQLmzkbaM8Iem9TjG6/s1600/P1020870.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxAcHFUW_bAC8CehotQXDmuqnsLrvZtRavuW3Jt9qEuCRxMFInyY8W5vEYb1XqNyuqVWsZsVEqt3WL0yfwkXaLDmWPWet94jT-Pr075iGSEJ8G5b_JTuQusJH1HiMQLmzkbaM8Iem9TjG6/s640/P1020870.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I like to make them all slightly different:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4fiurcgt9oEZinoHIrIQGx-fWGGn1oRu1iK8B9b0qxPr_PZnA9Rl5VLiStbESmaj8cmrcwoLxRRD_FhNpXBwSeeEL5twJ1CQG3XVUwwFhGB1P1ldTR9IGqEp9NXuIAhPVsT9Tea1oMA-Z/s1600/P1020871.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4fiurcgt9oEZinoHIrIQGx-fWGGn1oRu1iK8B9b0qxPr_PZnA9Rl5VLiStbESmaj8cmrcwoLxRRD_FhNpXBwSeeEL5twJ1CQG3XVUwwFhGB1P1ldTR9IGqEp9NXuIAhPVsT9Tea1oMA-Z/s640/P1020871.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
And I love to add a little verse, again different ones - its fun for my friends to choose:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO-B62hMmY_hmLwLOCFUr4ibE-HamO89hdHxwOwRzuw6ba3BFELBMdAy3BX6yISmzroqHY22pMumgX8D-hQHsFUL3ztYcx1ggf87L5JYcVoZsGkgzLwh30SbiLg2o0ZUrb-iMkK5ttuAEk/s1600/P1020869.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO-B62hMmY_hmLwLOCFUr4ibE-HamO89hdHxwOwRzuw6ba3BFELBMdAy3BX6yISmzroqHY22pMumgX8D-hQHsFUL3ztYcx1ggf87L5JYcVoZsGkgzLwh30SbiLg2o0ZUrb-iMkK5ttuAEk/s640/P1020869.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
These are always such fun to make. I may just have to do another batch!<br />

How can that be? Always in the past when I've been in the middle of a chronic fatigue bout I've managed to keep creating - its what's kept me sane and going through it, knowing I would get through it. So this time round I've been quite discouraged to find that all inspiration has gone. The times that I tried it ended up in the bin!!!!<br />
<br />
I usually pray a lot too and derive enormous comfort and hope from knowing that God is with me, giving me grace and strength. But this time, I've found that hard too! Brain fog (a sympton of CFS) has been especially bad this time and its been hard to pray. The wonderful thing, however, is that our God is faithful and gracious and He has been there every time I have turned to Him and prayed. I may not have had the energy and strength to pray as much as normal but when I have drawn close to Him He has been there faithfully waiting to give me that comfort and hope and grace which I've needed. I've felt the sweet touch of His Holy Spirit and the knowledge of His love for me. And what amazing blessing that is!<br />
<br />
So I've kept going knowing that just as Spring follows Winter, strength will follow fatigue and now I am getting better and stronger again. Here is a journal page which is the only thing I have managed to do in the last month:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG2_152ltcP_y9zuVfEq6M45PzowS87qdpkV0aKbiHbbiIhOPPqlb8fp5xgIPBW3503RGN9VwAwe50Ok8-oAewa2IRNOdbPSVmdF3E_dNhwrLWH_IHtdEhBpCBa1-g2WeM-6tf45qbZMkg/s1600/P1010815.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG2_152ltcP_y9zuVfEq6M45PzowS87qdpkV0aKbiHbbiIhOPPqlb8fp5xgIPBW3503RGN9VwAwe50Ok8-oAewa2IRNOdbPSVmdF3E_dNhwrLWH_IHtdEhBpCBa1-g2WeM-6tf45qbZMkg/s640/P1010815.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I used a page in my journal which already had the backround colour - leftover paint from one of my autumn colour projects. I couldn't get enough of these colours back then and I still love them now! I added stencils using sprays and sponged paint:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9CG0vlVHZpt9XXo0BQ02kfUWn0mD0uo1_LAl9ptCGxIBYE2rpCOR4Fe9ijAJS73EeFDQjdnYmNNybL5mGiYSpiePyeW2pkqR7sE6VSPBpbzWrF3gPo7VMvTCN2Ci8OitvjH2xklA5nsWU/s1600/P1010817.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9CG0vlVHZpt9XXo0BQ02kfUWn0mD0uo1_LAl9ptCGxIBYE2rpCOR4Fe9ijAJS73EeFDQjdnYmNNybL5mGiYSpiePyeW2pkqR7sE6VSPBpbzWrF3gPo7VMvTCN2Ci8OitvjH2xklA5nsWU/s640/P1010817.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Plus some stamping. The script is a favourite from IndigoBlu and the grid is a fly swat which I saw in a shop for 50p and thought I could use as a stencil!! Its actually better as a stamp:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfyDixnOmi-LmREUd7fG85gT51vpxaeB2ues3hUTxbVyRr1EhelfNY0PrP-QeZtvwPADoxaiTQATN1jMi5yqb3-KjvevGrivz1jfwmS2yK6N5ZVCBpWafwAUu8XGDCpgmEbVqoNsgG5WO5/s1600/P1010820.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfyDixnOmi-LmREUd7fG85gT51vpxaeB2ues3hUTxbVyRr1EhelfNY0PrP-QeZtvwPADoxaiTQATN1jMi5yqb3-KjvevGrivz1jfwmS2yK6N5ZVCBpWafwAUu8XGDCpgmEbVqoNsgG5WO5/s640/P1010820.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I stamped flowers from a new PaperArtsy Kay Carley set:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYY3Ihd-bYpGLCXahS1ebh9g_hMzV9bf-Tp7RhTvEn70YT91Z8tuYYThVUQQHay9DqthyphenhyphenA1tbBtLu8MVrDdgnTpRH8M4k5syluurXtasS_o23SdtKsacfdTsGPxlBHWlMgw3J-p3KacZ4N/s1600/P1010822.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYY3Ihd-bYpGLCXahS1ebh9g_hMzV9bf-Tp7RhTvEn70YT91Z8tuYYThVUQQHay9DqthyphenhyphenA1tbBtLu8MVrDdgnTpRH8M4k5syluurXtasS_o23SdtKsacfdTsGPxlBHWlMgw3J-p3KacZ4N/s640/P1010822.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped in black:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlcPJWnzHRHqqO_l1H9_LKz5s8tda0OiLSUrXRsWEaftZM7jZMZR5A_z9V4h6vmslYlRG24Vy2z6LBglbFkrO7um8tqhbelN8DclDv7LVy-eu1oOBnpZKutVgVlBy1J-_O2X5QKmBIv5HO/s1600/P1010823.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlcPJWnzHRHqqO_l1H9_LKz5s8tda0OiLSUrXRsWEaftZM7jZMZR5A_z9V4h6vmslYlRG24Vy2z6LBglbFkrO7um8tqhbelN8DclDv7LVy-eu1oOBnpZKutVgVlBy1J-_O2X5QKmBIv5HO/s640/P1010823.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
and highlighted in white:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2riA70oKKokObEuJi562dvCfQ1sUuvSK9Bjt3N6cwv0diqNXdaY5DbospRa1iUalLUsvmabCVZV7BKQXe_OEeEV6uVDtMxHc7YUMwkQjAHzvMUMISp7llrp6UNWaCCQUOMgw3Hqbzojvn/s1600/P1010819.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2riA70oKKokObEuJi562dvCfQ1sUuvSK9Bjt3N6cwv0diqNXdaY5DbospRa1iUalLUsvmabCVZV7BKQXe_OEeEV6uVDtMxHc7YUMwkQjAHzvMUMISp7llrp6UNWaCCQUOMgw3Hqbzojvn/s640/P1010819.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />

I simply had to take a break and play this week and here is a card I made for her birthday. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDxszF2-zyfR5tOUT73zLBiTngaxBm9u5n-U5MOhzKDzNvfoSV4PsWq7Cl3rpklNPgPekgpYspmcUMyzGKz8smAfF9zYUoYZHFXPLAJwYW4kfgtOkGXrl69IWm39Ce8GauwuoLdEbovJOi/s1600/P1010808.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDxszF2-zyfR5tOUT73zLBiTngaxBm9u5n-U5MOhzKDzNvfoSV4PsWq7Cl3rpklNPgPekgpYspmcUMyzGKz8smAfF9zYUoYZHFXPLAJwYW4kfgtOkGXrl69IWm39Ce8GauwuoLdEbovJOi/s400/P1010808.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I love to combine challenges - sometimes they all go together like this time:<br />
at <a href="http://countryviewchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/february-make-your-own-background.html">Country View Crafts</a> the current challenge is 'make your own backround'; at <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2016/02/2016-topic-3-wax-challenge.html">PaperArtsy</a> it is wax; and at <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/take-it-make-it-challenge-february.html">Craft Stamper</a> it is 'text me'. Ooooh, fun to do all three! I decided to make a masterboard and brayered a backround - my favourite way of starting off and learnt from Leandra at PaperArtsy:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtS59Ij4pokK4R5AAJ5KY4Bab6bi1jbe9fqdyKcPM4VM8Oxjc5YOmzLKii8StFBt8moG11CnTphBZNX5zGMgcRKa6OXBhoBVl4wlrTgzGVMoWYE1zcqLQLgQKB4Ui3tsBH9w-wdGVNBZHv/s1600/P1010802.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtS59Ij4pokK4R5AAJ5KY4Bab6bi1jbe9fqdyKcPM4VM8Oxjc5YOmzLKii8StFBt8moG11CnTphBZNX5zGMgcRKa6OXBhoBVl4wlrTgzGVMoWYE1zcqLQLgQKB4Ui3tsBH9w-wdGVNBZHv/s400/P1010802.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I added some stencilling and stamped my favourite script backround randomly. For the wax challenge Leandra showed us how to use Portfolio crayons with a stencil. I loved the sound of this so had to have a go:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsvzKguLWS-R1cynFTWIit4Tj27ggqEzuyHGNzbau0WRMNQfb193iIjhn0qAZPA2CvxpGQ4I42CETyBjy8liBT-83PZ99CdxDWYl0jrB29-MCjSSAFROUW0RGXh8srZrmndUzW5-X0Evs0/s1600/P1010806.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsvzKguLWS-R1cynFTWIit4Tj27ggqEzuyHGNzbau0WRMNQfb193iIjhn0qAZPA2CvxpGQ4I42CETyBjy8liBT-83PZ99CdxDWYl0jrB29-MCjSSAFROUW0RGXh8srZrmndUzW5-X0Evs0/s400/P1010806.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You get this really cool effect when you heat set:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrAATtkH-UliX2Gk-ZDx1le9lyJTP2pCsRmuvFIaoKQETShYGt9nEwesvhaW2EuhL3sT9-3PzsQdbaeBdeY1Fxyt4WNO-wHLmKXK_fCGu35FL7oJvlbAiUXCLSj4VFaR3Ee9wbBEaJp4Zj/s1600/P1010807.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrAATtkH-UliX2Gk-ZDx1le9lyJTP2pCsRmuvFIaoKQETShYGt9nEwesvhaW2EuhL3sT9-3PzsQdbaeBdeY1Fxyt4WNO-wHLmKXK_fCGu35FL7oJvlbAiUXCLSj4VFaR3Ee9wbBEaJp4Zj/s400/P1010807.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I cut up the backround for my card base. I stamped some gorgeous PaperArtsy flowers by Sara Naumann (no 14), coloured with Portfolios which really do give a wonderful vibrant colour and cut out:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCQM7lzYKdYdEs8y1LWToEiAeeEFl1mrJVQsJblQ881A5xHRSaoIwNuVH7LoPSfgS23pm9rOQBhGX7F_9QhICgntc1HV-9dtPUVchGqmsmpsnZGJc_Cop_5KP1FhJ_cbzTteUD0SqR7CKw/s1600/P1010812.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCQM7lzYKdYdEs8y1LWToEiAeeEFl1mrJVQsJblQ881A5xHRSaoIwNuVH7LoPSfgS23pm9rOQBhGX7F_9QhICgntc1HV-9dtPUVchGqmsmpsnZGJc_Cop_5KP1FhJ_cbzTteUD0SqR7CKw/s640/P1010812.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGrOFD45wZpok-jdYysR2BzdnvhJi3Ewsoo_w0IrjIJ3A_oJOjbpd8sX_VkviZD8jwCz8P1srfyfy1vN6K4PHVnra-VKJPuGZeoyu8OKzDaiHG9nX9_EijvG3q0AZEDviFETri6VfWas51/s1600/P1010813.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGrOFD45wZpok-jdYysR2BzdnvhJi3Ewsoo_w0IrjIJ3A_oJOjbpd8sX_VkviZD8jwCz8P1srfyfy1vN6K4PHVnra-VKJPuGZeoyu8OKzDaiHG9nX9_EijvG3q0AZEDviFETri6VfWas51/s640/P1010813.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Finally, the sentiment:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicjERLKk57N8sX4wzE_RSrVUqVjleX2CTBCKKX_b0oXMzSDiCVWS_Mj6t8OLi5pGhP_Ti3Y1HmiTTZW5j-qk0LiA2-i9jazMFRHkjaghTgjoA4rRsuQm31O76tFD60JIVeA9kIDpHPTsFi/s1600/P1010814.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicjERLKk57N8sX4wzE_RSrVUqVjleX2CTBCKKX_b0oXMzSDiCVWS_Mj6t8OLi5pGhP_Ti3Y1HmiTTZW5j-qk0LiA2-i9jazMFRHkjaghTgjoA4rRsuQm31O76tFD60JIVeA9kIDpHPTsFi/s640/P1010814.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
This was such a fun card to do - thanks for all the inspiration!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Last year I took part in the <a href="http://triplethescraps.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/glory-art-scripture-challenge-2016.html">Glory Art Scripture Challenge</a> where every fortnight there was a different theme with scriptures we could study. I made scripture cards for my glory art and if you've visited before you will know how much fun I find them to make. WARNING...... if you are minded to try them they are very addictive! I had a whole pile of them by the end of the year which I knew I wanted to make into a devotional book. In the end I made them into a very simple display book so I can have different scriptures (and art) to enjoy each day.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRKXV90K0AIgJxmGqW7WuG2799_Xj4gZAOXct1V2RIs9qIb0qpFXx9XD2zi1seEaQVwFi_nDW9fQEiYl_BBFAEGjUn3tkwd0pQ9elg9bCjCo8mdXYupUuhO5zIrJxVu-nlExbWla16SCfc/s1600/P1010791.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRKXV90K0AIgJxmGqW7WuG2799_Xj4gZAOXct1V2RIs9qIb0qpFXx9XD2zi1seEaQVwFi_nDW9fQEiYl_BBFAEGjUn3tkwd0pQ9elg9bCjCo8mdXYupUuhO5zIrJxVu-nlExbWla16SCfc/s400/P1010791.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I mounted them on black card. Initially I wanted to do them singly but there were too many :)<br />

<br />
I used book rings to bind them together using my trusty Crop-a-dile to punch the holes several pages at a time:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLn5w0bVZXGbbHqcNEPwM59oPDzWnkRyJHBByBNfndu0yKgSIWuCtXN6IFiF9aSTY9r9NZUSgCZXVzMU-wxDqRyeQt5m2X70pduCdzcRYbicU1UPZ4iD00Rck130zW4i2oDuth0GFlCyCd/s1600/P1010794.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLn5w0bVZXGbbHqcNEPwM59oPDzWnkRyJHBByBNfndu0yKgSIWuCtXN6IFiF9aSTY9r9NZUSgCZXVzMU-wxDqRyeQt5m2X70pduCdzcRYbicU1UPZ4iD00Rck130zW4i2oDuth0GFlCyCd/s400/P1010794.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Each page is double sided so that when I get to the end I simply turn the display around and start again to go through the other side:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp8gDnXrl9MxJmKoa0yzmYw_s3u1kFT-CU-0jcUMVDOHVRX0dn1D32CzR71S0Tye1iAPU3OePj1pjHRCWRlfwgeuxsQbCz7DuJP_BpyhGMxvitn58vpoCTLPt-_CrkE2aEF7cpe6IHpIUZ/s1600/P1010797.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp8gDnXrl9MxJmKoa0yzmYw_s3u1kFT-CU-0jcUMVDOHVRX0dn1D32CzR71S0Tye1iAPU3OePj1pjHRCWRlfwgeuxsQbCz7DuJP_BpyhGMxvitn58vpoCTLPt-_CrkE2aEF7cpe6IHpIUZ/s400/P1010797.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
For each challenge I made four ..... but sometimes five or six cos I couldn't stop making them :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqUsXpst2lgjoq_8e7pO9g7lAuYTzrIzK7FK73U11gq0KShp0DSAs6EbZALFqMDZGaUOZ9MgR9kfkbF88DL74lP16Xeosok2NeyE1P3PTtQqh7htTxnUSrMfrwlgyjap0qhQkLo5KiNsiL/s1600/P1010790.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqUsXpst2lgjoq_8e7pO9g7lAuYTzrIzK7FK73U11gq0KShp0DSAs6EbZALFqMDZGaUOZ9MgR9kfkbF88DL74lP16Xeosok2NeyE1P3PTtQqh7htTxnUSrMfrwlgyjap0qhQkLo5KiNsiL/s400/P1010790.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I kept to the same colours and supplies for each challenge so they would be a set:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjffiWKg0dRxDdoZJeJ3DZ2TUqGRXN4CMQreTU52lfMV-aIa_FKlfefh-Ifu7ZXLVqF8NolPFDsfd-o6l9113PlmHCZfbanVyiINX5-9y4eKcNTX1m3BgjgIpbwqQ9_LBlAh0fxIgYFTx1/s1600/P1010793.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjffiWKg0dRxDdoZJeJ3DZ2TUqGRXN4CMQreTU52lfMV-aIa_FKlfefh-Ifu7ZXLVqF8NolPFDsfd-o6l9113PlmHCZfbanVyiINX5-9y4eKcNTX1m3BgjgIpbwqQ9_LBlAh0fxIgYFTx1/s400/P1010793.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I would often start with a masterboard and then cut up before finishing each one individually which gave a nice cohesive look to each set:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhjIhKYgD_dyzHAhiEmGfZGaJT7-n7zEfA43BrNylrt497cS_UHfAZfiaxFvtyaD_4ozjYJ7rtZWmSWzXSFB-7vhyphenhyphenPDxoUvR_3ToDwMSDThAbdr06oi2OFcEtnA8-d6Le88nNgPvwaFahs/s1600/P1010788.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhjIhKYgD_dyzHAhiEmGfZGaJT7-n7zEfA43BrNylrt497cS_UHfAZfiaxFvtyaD_4ozjYJ7rtZWmSWzXSFB-7vhyphenhyphenPDxoUvR_3ToDwMSDThAbdr06oi2OFcEtnA8-d6Le88nNgPvwaFahs/s400/P1010788.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Sometimes I'd use texture paste which gave a lovely dimension to them but made sticking the strips of verse tricky!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQLlY3bNihuezhKjKMU1YE2Ohe0u5UdcunNgBZ3f8JOJOmL9iEG-qApFXQ7OUPr6mA3S3CBhdF4JOLhdZ-UfqieOZcmBFpxXE8SeA1bWCu1WrgC8VXeuupPo9HS6Qy4Iwxgsx-QMIc6X-h/s1600/P1010796.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQLlY3bNihuezhKjKMU1YE2Ohe0u5UdcunNgBZ3f8JOJOmL9iEG-qApFXQ7OUPr6mA3S3CBhdF4JOLhdZ-UfqieOZcmBFpxXE8SeA1bWCu1WrgC8VXeuupPo9HS6Qy4Iwxgsx-QMIc6X-h/s400/P1010796.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The strips are often wonky .... but it is a home made book after all! I never did learn to cut straight and they were too narrow to cut with my guillotine:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDVQq_UCPPCoU_FAQg4NIZpsYBhaeuAMhih7Tw1cGaUwRDOMExVW_azxRwj1_Qzu5wzCwQdYKBkQxCvd6rZNnZWbvpg0XjYJoMAmnSZ8yUf_oqxqPDmPV6yXnmLg37adg9Wh88GCr6WpO1/s1600/P1010795.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDVQq_UCPPCoU_FAQg4NIZpsYBhaeuAMhih7Tw1cGaUwRDOMExVW_azxRwj1_Qzu5wzCwQdYKBkQxCvd6rZNnZWbvpg0XjYJoMAmnSZ8yUf_oqxqPDmPV6yXnmLg37adg9Wh88GCr6WpO1/s400/P1010795.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Of course I am doing the challenge again this year and shall have a whole pile more to make into something. Why not come and join in the fun?<br />
<br />

I loved doing it last year and have made all the scripture cards into a little devotional display book which I must photograph soon so I can show you.<br />
<br />
In the meantime the first challenge for this year was 'Limitless'. Its so good to focus on God, on who He is, what He is like, to try and get to know Him better. To think of God as limitless is wonderful: think of His love for us... infinite; His grace.....beyond measure; His power......boundless; His mercy.....inexhaustible; His goodness.....neverending. So when I am struggling with a problem, with tiredness, with whatever it is, I simply turn to God, think of Him as limitless and know that as I turn to Him, yield myself to Him and ask Him to help me He is there for me. As Jesus said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible".<br />
<br />
Here are my scripture cards:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkIVZBOIU7MIY6Q64hE61IVpA4PNF1nGgvOEHktb8W5fHj0arJknQ9oAx8j_VaqandeBwcueUDpHnJYIjubDQj-n6I4ba3qzXxKtrQ-jP7rcvvcHU_62Os_WzRcBq_L9BKyTkdfo1hhU2g/s1600/P1010787.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkIVZBOIU7MIY6Q64hE61IVpA4PNF1nGgvOEHktb8W5fHj0arJknQ9oAx8j_VaqandeBwcueUDpHnJYIjubDQj-n6I4ba3qzXxKtrQ-jP7rcvvcHU_62Os_WzRcBq_L9BKyTkdfo1hhU2g/s400/P1010787.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I used to make a set of four last year, but since it is only going to be monthly instead of fortnightly this year I thought I'd do eight! Here are the first four:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAiqk9A9rwqagoW7TjYfS-Go2xDiP7-umSwH6dYq5-6MT_3vlbe_FlMmO_resGN_je1aCgJbEhv3u3YZOGHreod8pNnS9O4Bvc4z6jHMX0cMVWvfd4nOOMHXa4VUkt1-42b09z7bdOPUaF/s1600/P1010775.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAiqk9A9rwqagoW7TjYfS-Go2xDiP7-umSwH6dYq5-6MT_3vlbe_FlMmO_resGN_je1aCgJbEhv3u3YZOGHreod8pNnS9O4Bvc4z6jHMX0cMVWvfd4nOOMHXa4VUkt1-42b09z7bdOPUaF/s640/P1010775.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I used the same supplies for the second four:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGu-j5SDwTcBJgJIxQv58ENVMvSqr4jWnTBpNzC3f5uy8KvDTOf6o4jz9rpWMTLL8iQbHYF_5qOTPPLDjR0w2Skp30QyY1b2ObMYQpVHmFzb2cDu2ESTKJf-a9K99g_MU6UhHtgB29Ut6K/s1600/P1010780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGu-j5SDwTcBJgJIxQv58ENVMvSqr4jWnTBpNzC3f5uy8KvDTOf6o4jz9rpWMTLL8iQbHYF_5qOTPPLDjR0w2Skp30QyY1b2ObMYQpVHmFzb2cDu2ESTKJf-a9K99g_MU6UhHtgB29Ut6K/s640/P1010780.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I started off brayering paint in a couple of shades:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGMbPl_Mq0Y3coD2LLU8DPGGDEu6EcoClWXWI1qy5wFhXviI5hxmDm7GLpYI1xTyVfrHR2iZCefpnGOD1iVnBtsWlD0ipeqsW__bpTK13XwixkzC9qSZ_1LZbXIthDmurmTIUwwf8C9UjI/s1600/P1010776.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGMbPl_Mq0Y3coD2LLU8DPGGDEu6EcoClWXWI1qy5wFhXviI5hxmDm7GLpYI1xTyVfrHR2iZCefpnGOD1iVnBtsWlD0ipeqsW__bpTK13XwixkzC9qSZ_1LZbXIthDmurmTIUwwf8C9UjI/s640/P1010776.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Adding some stencilling:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIHDVbRej_gPuElFxi5lto3UqhT20lpsbET0HCw4Y5WQTq13yc7t-EuavHzXioTHadH_VZ8k3f74t3idnY8Mq9znw2jNBqdUGGCON0FmO2mOEquVWwl3x_GbPc1xyQCemDUTWfju5QvZIc/s1600/P1010783.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIHDVbRej_gPuElFxi5lto3UqhT20lpsbET0HCw4Y5WQTq13yc7t-EuavHzXioTHadH_VZ8k3f74t3idnY8Mq9znw2jNBqdUGGCON0FmO2mOEquVWwl3x_GbPc1xyQCemDUTWfju5QvZIc/s640/P1010783.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I cut them up, 8 to an A4 card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDuBjxQKgzrniazTyaPUpkV3aHQx0LvjHpk1QbDAC83ZQc3TbjhhvJfc5uwAz1ezk1sC08vnlwYpK1k5tVjm21s3b25Cs1oEDk-qmgU_SMJCA9VplWW5Le59bO4Ybhuvq1UbDfIdJQ-lTw/s1600/P1010778.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDuBjxQKgzrniazTyaPUpkV3aHQx0LvjHpk1QbDAC83ZQc3TbjhhvJfc5uwAz1ezk1sC08vnlwYpK1k5tVjm21s3b25Cs1oEDk-qmgU_SMJCA9VplWW5Le59bO4Ybhuvq1UbDfIdJQ-lTw/s640/P1010778.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I love script stamps and the lovely backround interest they give, either faint:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKf2Dcpr1MvuD_Ysxtp_vr9kALydX19dq-9PFHT42TkkdQFEaqFfqZsKEAlcFzMUvObxpTufjgkqUeJDURg9jSBTPZ3EMtJLhO9tnnkJaK9Tc1Oj8pETkNgeKeTa5aQLu8bH-lKHPzOHzq/s1600/P1010785.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKf2Dcpr1MvuD_Ysxtp_vr9kALydX19dq-9PFHT42TkkdQFEaqFfqZsKEAlcFzMUvObxpTufjgkqUeJDURg9jSBTPZ3EMtJLhO9tnnkJaK9Tc1Oj8pETkNgeKeTa5aQLu8bH-lKHPzOHzq/s640/P1010785.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
or more prominent:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgt61GvX5CFXmxEWuFQjDyZGRZz2AWeyL3ANR3VsD_k8hRSIJEG4KZMWPQTZeweMkJEfRvRd5K6uLSDqYeCMjiRgC635kwmkrcvrMw2nbkTudJldaiHF7sX1f1D0sEV5KjKi8Zh_TKVX3sS/s1600/P1010784.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgt61GvX5CFXmxEWuFQjDyZGRZz2AWeyL3ANR3VsD_k8hRSIJEG4KZMWPQTZeweMkJEfRvRd5K6uLSDqYeCMjiRgC635kwmkrcvrMw2nbkTudJldaiHF7sX1f1D0sEV5KjKi8Zh_TKVX3sS/s640/P1010784.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The flowers are from a Kelly Panacci stamp set which I've had for years:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwxYytK6zagLw1xtNPQjeqSZ7R6_ZvK4olpJiLt0d6I8jc_HfFbCl4JZnwaByfllALugLEsRxQn341UBrx4GHfC033tAe2DGZdMkAssLjGm0Yrl-rlurTpKTeK5AV6pFS-1rFjztylE1yZ/s1600/P1010777.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwxYytK6zagLw1xtNPQjeqSZ7R6_ZvK4olpJiLt0d6I8jc_HfFbCl4JZnwaByfllALugLEsRxQn341UBrx4GHfC033tAe2DGZdMkAssLjGm0Yrl-rlurTpKTeK5AV6pFS-1rFjztylE1yZ/s640/P1010777.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
There is a good variety in it, with big and small flowers:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdJVlYAxajonbXHAsfEbuiyB7hVWZLS57pI0fOJoh0MeopSiFnsUlBkbQkke3YNOCuTVtgdoy0epch5blCwe8eJO9iyzXCU4_fLQJGPprPHpYbg4z2prKwhoC88hsSzsE9BSWKeeqdAVvD/s1600/P1010779.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdJVlYAxajonbXHAsfEbuiyB7hVWZLS57pI0fOJoh0MeopSiFnsUlBkbQkke3YNOCuTVtgdoy0epch5blCwe8eJO9iyzXCU4_fLQJGPprPHpYbg4z2prKwhoC88hsSzsE9BSWKeeqdAVvD/s640/P1010779.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
So each scripture cards looks very different:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDh2StMy4pDLH6APtFQvi_rj21SsZ-R-MYrec0kXx2s6CiNqBsD9ZSoUq_YB1gNZZGWbEPwqmI7i7CU2Tr-U4AzB4DW2jLKATYYSZ-yvXW4sx6w4cklEt5p2QhKm9d9hVUwoBji9frQp6D/s1600/P1010782.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDh2StMy4pDLH6APtFQvi_rj21SsZ-R-MYrec0kXx2s6CiNqBsD9ZSoUq_YB1gNZZGWbEPwqmI7i7CU2Tr-U4AzB4DW2jLKATYYSZ-yvXW4sx6w4cklEt5p2QhKm9d9hVUwoBji9frQp6D/s640/P1010782.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Such fun to do!<br />

I do all my arty activities on my kitchen table so I had to pack everything away for Christmas and having packed it all away I simply could not get going again this year despite having received some new crafty prezzies. What does one do when stuck in the creative doldrums? This:<br />
ask a friend round who wants to play! My friend Sue came round and spotted my Scripture cards which I did all through last year and wanted to make some too. I couldn't say no of course, so we took out paints and stencils and stamps and played and I'll show those in another post soon.<br />
<br />
It was just the encouragement I needed.....it was fun! So next day I picked up my art journal and though I still felt 'rusty' and like I didn't have much inspiration I got on with it. Here is my page: <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdfxOIdEM7e1ZI0MCW1p64yMcZZd0h1TjguD7VoVqrUB7vs-ehA9Ws9pYl5uhZ1-P7ot7qrhR7KL7CPPW_ia4WdlPwhNI-gxaNpIi_bnoe9Ie0pIJct4CrJUurXKIYWCSnYe6oQYdHv8Y3/s1600/P1010772.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdfxOIdEM7e1ZI0MCW1p64yMcZZd0h1TjguD7VoVqrUB7vs-ehA9Ws9pYl5uhZ1-P7ot7qrhR7KL7CPPW_ia4WdlPwhNI-gxaNpIi_bnoe9Ie0pIJct4CrJUurXKIYWCSnYe6oQYdHv8Y3/s640/P1010772.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I started off with a bluey wintry backround, inspired by the wintry theme at <a href="http://art-journal-journey.blogspot.co.uk/">Art Journal Journey</a>. I'd felt like I was hitting a brick wall when I was in the middle of the doldrums so it seemed like a good thing to add, plus I love doing walls!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrrRjXRowud4befmPz2-Q78dRp4eFI4A62S2rbYSJMmKXXqGNHr1acJQIFLHR_n9CrISJeeSgf3UtCpnLob2tQ1eAEYZbZ0XnMP00t49l6G_5r1wMVaFeQD3wFY6-Lg-jBrrz-xBHpHUR2/s1600/P1010767.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrrRjXRowud4befmPz2-Q78dRp4eFI4A62S2rbYSJMmKXXqGNHr1acJQIFLHR_n9CrISJeeSgf3UtCpnLob2tQ1eAEYZbZ0XnMP00t49l6G_5r1wMVaFeQD3wFY6-Lg-jBrrz-xBHpHUR2/s640/P1010767.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I added more stencilling and finally the hearts which is the theme for the current challenge at <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2016/01/2016-topic-2-hearts-challenge.html">PaperArtsy</a> and seeing all the projects with hearts which I love using was also wonderful inspiration.<br />
<br />
This heart was a freebie with <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/take-it-make-it-challenge-january_8.html">Craft Stamper</a> magazine:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1GA5cNprghVmmGDLvkw-NrxTym5rE0LohnuprseWS-Km4RqTSp3fEjVUYjM1R-Bn2QzqfTG-h7SbekWHHd3aS9ozL0rr6MWyzGZKqYglgwbGjqiKFPOmxP0Zxczbx_dZVyr01D2g2ANRD/s1600/P1010769.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1GA5cNprghVmmGDLvkw-NrxTym5rE0LohnuprseWS-Km4RqTSp3fEjVUYjM1R-Bn2QzqfTG-h7SbekWHHd3aS9ozL0rr6MWyzGZKqYglgwbGjqiKFPOmxP0Zxczbx_dZVyr01D2g2ANRD/s640/P1010769.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I stencilled some hearts with texture paste and sponged in red for a splash of colour:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIYK0ge0yvOaPhF1656S-vqpbsmDXOuGTe-zXqNKlB-71re6yKzFeeepkXL-J8-_Sf0ln9Z8D0jky3_2QRXIviV827ahaeTQiFeEHdJorZddVJZo4q8PnGIVATO-jIQJ6BacEbjOZU5I-_/s1600/P1010770.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIYK0ge0yvOaPhF1656S-vqpbsmDXOuGTe-zXqNKlB-71re6yKzFeeepkXL-J8-_Sf0ln9Z8D0jky3_2QRXIviV827ahaeTQiFeEHdJorZddVJZo4q8PnGIVATO-jIQJ6BacEbjOZU5I-_/s640/P1010770.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
and I added trailing string to each heart to make them seem like they are floating up and away:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeuz4KbjxBtZSnClItAdSZufH_FbeA6ZxLbfKtpRh-E9JBJsi375AxRR-YujsL4n_npc1Q7Een98CS59sXYTSp6zbaSCzN1cRsmfp1wCGHofCaoSbwiZPKwmlaZltyjnm8nzxj5SlAb2iK/s1600/P1010773.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeuz4KbjxBtZSnClItAdSZufH_FbeA6ZxLbfKtpRh-E9JBJsi375AxRR-YujsL4n_npc1Q7Een98CS59sXYTSp6zbaSCzN1cRsmfp1wCGHofCaoSbwiZPKwmlaZltyjnm8nzxj5SlAb2iK/s640/P1010773.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>

Its been over a month since I last posted, amazing how life happens and time flies!<br />
<br />
Here are the scripture cards I made for the final <a href="http://triplethescraps.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/glory-art-scripture-challenge-21-his.html">Glory Art</a> challenge for 2015 which was on His Gift and His love. I love these scriptures. Every day we live is a gift to us from God and every day He loves us the same - He is steadfast and true and faithful - He loves us every step of the way and whatever we are going through. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwchfOQyK-QrUSjvxO15KJxDM9bAn5KSV2hvcTYWZVv5zj_KN7iDdqKEI_qUkrNMIZKYjtCAMGKgCRPLGUHhjm1l8m8Xg8OX1USIczZdi83oEda2_JhnkEyxxGNg5A-tWo-pmekMF7HSfu/s1600/P1010760.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwchfOQyK-QrUSjvxO15KJxDM9bAn5KSV2hvcTYWZVv5zj_KN7iDdqKEI_qUkrNMIZKYjtCAMGKgCRPLGUHhjm1l8m8Xg8OX1USIczZdi83oEda2_JhnkEyxxGNg5A-tWo-pmekMF7HSfu/s640/P1010760.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I brayered paint in a few colours:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWrwmB0P63m5L6APJ4UeK6r0UCJyeAxXFWaA1Vi_n-cTC6hylYvxnfVxUMhlNpvOkhmjJM58LEEvJ7gtPsJ-vDWdSKx920p0lQopqZZtwYHFKZGQ5ZdyuCvxYFr8nr2kC1TPX_U_DiEW9w/s1600/P1010761.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWrwmB0P63m5L6APJ4UeK6r0UCJyeAxXFWaA1Vi_n-cTC6hylYvxnfVxUMhlNpvOkhmjJM58LEEvJ7gtPsJ-vDWdSKx920p0lQopqZZtwYHFKZGQ5ZdyuCvxYFr8nr2kC1TPX_U_DiEW9w/s640/P1010761.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
Then I had fun with my yummy new Christmas prezzie stamps and stencil:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDPvNnKyfqjCYimMHZSqW6HWibWTjDo_aqxLe811yvtO-hWn5KYtTeyzXxjiSNqTgPX7rvcUk-F-AL4psPKMNZ5Wjel0LKu3Em97cfVRAFbRpstQ8ANFs04CEbWp5lKFhG4pY6-uh8rzKL/s1600/P1010762.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDPvNnKyfqjCYimMHZSqW6HWibWTjDo_aqxLe811yvtO-hWn5KYtTeyzXxjiSNqTgPX7rvcUk-F-AL4psPKMNZ5Wjel0LKu3Em97cfVRAFbRpstQ8ANFs04CEbWp5lKFhG4pY6-uh8rzKL/s640/P1010762.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />

and I love the print flowers from Sara Naumann (14).<br />

<br />
I've loved doing the scripture cards and completing this challenge. I'm busy mounting them on black card to make into a simple devotional book which I can display.<br />
<br />
Its a great feeling to complete a challenge, but also sad. Fortunately, Patter is going to do <a href="http://triplethescraps.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/glory-art-scripture-challenge-for-2016.html">Glory Art challenge</a> again in 2016. This year it will be monthly instead of fortnightly - so since there will only be 12 Glory Art challenges this year I'll just have to make double the number of scripture cards for each one!<br />
<br />
Blessings to you all.<br />

How can that be?! Life sometimes overtakes us and all plans go up the spout. Never mind, yesterday I was able to take up my paints and crafty supplies and have some fun. I wanted to do the latest <a href="http://triplethescraps.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/glory-art-scripture-challenge-20-truth.html">Glory Art </a>challenge so I decided to start off with a masterboard which also happens to be the current challenge at <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2015/11/2015-topic-22-masterboards-challenge.html">PaperArtsy</a>. <br />
<br />
I brayered Cheescake, Candy Floss and Mermaid chalk acrylics: <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8psHWBDOFu4SCLTdsnrEABpioqpuoV8-UZZwECpdSi8RGAjnAM_xcOeEV6okT7XoKCs-zfkmvZYK4eUs1SIKGTNvhhqrGLpmmF8TxP6QY42h7u7iNdbHE6QgcOxxFFEpHUEp3rjPJB3o0/s1600/P1010733.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8psHWBDOFu4SCLTdsnrEABpioqpuoV8-UZZwECpdSi8RGAjnAM_xcOeEV6okT7XoKCs-zfkmvZYK4eUs1SIKGTNvhhqrGLpmmF8TxP6QY42h7u7iNdbHE6QgcOxxFFEpHUEp3rjPJB3o0/s400/P1010733.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
and added some stencilling:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1p9G9aYJh5T9CxepmbB7FTu6HPSCnJyJjKc0huoUao7ULtxdW-w-17IMq5v2tayepfetMXgSEGmvPXJ3seK5hetC9AX00jWY9CHPWqU1vqaCuvfC2KDazN6jdmmHrSKJBh8YEFXWlu0t4/s1600/P1010736.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1p9G9aYJh5T9CxepmbB7FTu6HPSCnJyJjKc0huoUao7ULtxdW-w-17IMq5v2tayepfetMXgSEGmvPXJ3seK5hetC9AX00jWY9CHPWqU1vqaCuvfC2KDazN6jdmmHrSKJBh8YEFXWlu0t4/s400/P1010736.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Since I was going to make different things I cut the masterboard up at this stage before adding anything else. Here are the four base cards for the Glory Art cut from half the masterboard.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyERE_Ebzua8A2e4tXsbV-eW9TnODFrieUPTvVObkKXlw56AkmnATGO4lXnIjxsJ9ij-EoEIz_OGnYJCSxIsmq0EgpL_d7yOm6LSMwKa6ekrqebObQE2355Kb8YbZZQYC_EFPkmmWaCECi/s1600/P1010737.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyERE_Ebzua8A2e4tXsbV-eW9TnODFrieUPTvVObkKXlw56AkmnATGO4lXnIjxsJ9ij-EoEIz_OGnYJCSxIsmq0EgpL_d7yOm6LSMwKa6ekrqebObQE2355Kb8YbZZQYC_EFPkmmWaCECi/s640/P1010737.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The topic for the <a href="http://triplethescraps.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/glory-art-scripture-challenge-20-truth.html">Glory Art</a> was Truth for Living. Patter asked us whether God's truth was our plumb line for our behaviour and daily living. Patter wrote, "<i>His Word is truth and changes lives. We need to study His word so we
know the truth, we believe the truth, we live by the truth, and are
changed by the truth. But each person alone must start by first
accepting that truth."</i> She included the following great quote: <i>"We are either in the process of resisting God's truth or in the process of being shaped and moulded by His truth."</i> <i>Charles Stanley.</i> I love that, I know I want to live like this, not resisting but living by God's truth, allowing Him to change me and make me more like Jesus.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I finished off the cards with a little stamping and then adding texture paste through a gorgeous PaperArtsy stencil:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
These have been such fun to make all through the year:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
I still had half the masterboard to use, so I added a little more stencilling and then cut up so I could make a card and a bookmark. I repeat stamped a PaperArtsty flower on each:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love making bookmarks, they make such really lovely simple gifts:<br />

So it is with prayer. I have been praying to God for the last 8 years about an impossible situation and asking for an answer and resolution. For 8 years the situation deteriorated but my wonderful God had given me an assurance that things would work out and be ok. I've journalled and posted about this many times. I put my trust in God - I always trusted that He heard every single one of my prayers and that He would answer in His own perfect way and time. It's what held me through the years of anxiety and stress in coping with it.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>BUT</b></div>
I'm happy, very very very happy to say that God's time to answer has come and the situation is now resolved!!! TOTALLY resolved in a PERFECT way. My trust in God over this one issue has been fulfilled. I am totally overwhelmed with gratitude and relief.<br />
<br />
Obviously I had to journal this, here is my page:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBQoBkkYQErHtZtg74caqrwAsONxJkYZZFBDFNVHcJaYHGYYKgVBW5UkFNklYwxYWL6jNmegC4Oz0-RrQWlLbXD9oBs6sm5JoNyRqbu7oW3PvIK-w98o9JRk3WLRqtGRNLBPh9EMJBbz9B/s1600/P1010722.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBQoBkkYQErHtZtg74caqrwAsONxJkYZZFBDFNVHcJaYHGYYKgVBW5UkFNklYwxYWL6jNmegC4Oz0-RrQWlLbXD9oBs6sm5JoNyRqbu7oW3PvIK-w98o9JRk3WLRqtGRNLBPh9EMJBbz9B/s640/P1010722.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted a busy page to reflect the worry, cares and prayers over the years. It seemed a perfect excuse to go mad with my stencils and do something to coincide with the abstract theme which is the current <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2015/11/2015-topic-21-abstract-art-challenge.html">PaperArtsy</a> challenge. It also fits perfectly with Carolyn Dube's new weekly link party with is appropriately called <a href="https://acolorfuljourney.com/lets-play-a-weekly-link-party/">Let's Play</a>. Following Carolyn's blog has really helped me to stop trying too hard and to simply have fun with paint, etc. and enjoy the process. So this page is a pretty messy, but who cares, hey?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcOovl6sWpmOA73Aii8rFrRU613IjTsGmszLx7MEwkyfI-SElFqOy1bP7Oos3USnRBbXQ4utRVIvnja_iRbqSOl8ml97sXjdNNwQJtOaSPJfiDOeKn1rg4KEyUOZYL2NkRySHkDyzbYe2o/s1600/P1010725.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcOovl6sWpmOA73Aii8rFrRU613IjTsGmszLx7MEwkyfI-SElFqOy1bP7Oos3USnRBbXQ4utRVIvnja_iRbqSOl8ml97sXjdNNwQJtOaSPJfiDOeKn1rg4KEyUOZYL2NkRySHkDyzbYe2o/s640/P1010725.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The white tile texture represents God showering His blessing of care during this time and of course the answered prayer:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0-ciA2FMWlSpdZO45Uj2ULNlLo14ASQHnWG2b5Oo6aVAYBYv06hjMMDDprVUxrcPP2j-xLhDFt5PgdBX6KIbQNFPmC3y6zc4zCSM8cNwjbgJqrQqBJT9QQhVRRhJr5Y5AMk5k8LglKEZW/s1600/P1010723.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0-ciA2FMWlSpdZO45Uj2ULNlLo14ASQHnWG2b5Oo6aVAYBYv06hjMMDDprVUxrcPP2j-xLhDFt5PgdBX6KIbQNFPmC3y6zc4zCSM8cNwjbgJqrQqBJT9QQhVRRhJr5Y5AMk5k8LglKEZW/s640/P1010723.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I initially started with red, orange and yellow swiped around with a baby wipe which is a favourite thing at the moment. I did my usual trick of splurging way too much paint at the start which all get left on the baby wipe. I wasn't going to waste it so spread it on some tags:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjULgoEXbnzELDmnD58FhqU2leE54it831L00ig9p56DNa9iCKge2LSNzfadrVcdvnoXp-Ydo7J04HJ99jEjdfuJ6Rhi_RYwU9oSQgjEaZ3Sce72pa_H7Deh9OLf37EhG4-jS7VhfqyCSU0/s1600/P1010731.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjULgoEXbnzELDmnD58FhqU2leE54it831L00ig9p56DNa9iCKge2LSNzfadrVcdvnoXp-Ydo7J04HJ99jEjdfuJ6Rhi_RYwU9oSQgjEaZ3Sce72pa_H7Deh9OLf37EhG4-jS7VhfqyCSU0/s640/P1010731.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
And some card (I did add a bit more yellow):<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMPP2o65oxg54T7eYR4byEuBHGzD-RhyGNV03XR873QLCejyqMLApKD1fvKeryWQ_EUVtxRipk9dFoXHHwqIlyb3BPCzHbZs8CMy_DPhsRpirBQzMiJSP3oD8YE2jlzweLC7MHyPZ_ELiJ/s1600/P1010732.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMPP2o65oxg54T7eYR4byEuBHGzD-RhyGNV03XR873QLCejyqMLApKD1fvKeryWQ_EUVtxRipk9dFoXHHwqIlyb3BPCzHbZs8CMy_DPhsRpirBQzMiJSP3oD8YE2jlzweLC7MHyPZ_ELiJ/s640/P1010732.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
and a canvas which I've had for ages and have been trying to pluck up the courage to do. I've never done one before you see, and it feels very intimidating! However, the colour looks so fab I can't wait to get going on it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSB6d7FIhJlMJTMpZ5Nt2f_K1qkTE3rjrT4trzesVYyYwwliJ_n-mLX4-2Mk3NB5iGusuFRmw0vLYe-INK43_Nz18S4gctoHs888AKu9cuJk-tIxV1cbbaR3NRw2xbya2tC25I5FLbM2ku/s1600/P1010730.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSB6d7FIhJlMJTMpZ5Nt2f_K1qkTE3rjrT4trzesVYyYwwliJ_n-mLX4-2Mk3NB5iGusuFRmw0vLYe-INK43_Nz18S4gctoHs888AKu9cuJk-tIxV1cbbaR3NRw2xbya2tC25I5FLbM2ku/s640/P1010730.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I'd like to encourage those of you who have been praying for something which seems impossible. Don't give up, don't lose hope. Persevere with your prayers and trust God. He loves you and cares for you and He really will answer in His own perfect way and His own perfect time.<br />
Blessings to you.<br />

I haven't posted every day but I have been making something or other most days. <br />
<br />
Here are two more Christmas cards using the same stamp (a freebie from Craft Stamper Dec 2013) as in the card in my previous post. I like to take a stamp for my Christmas cards and see how many different ways I can use it. Its fun coming up with different designs from the same stamp, really the number is limitless if you think you can change the colour, shape of the cardblank, embellishments, position, etc, etc.<br />
<br />
I stayed with the blue theme inspired by the <a href="http://countryviewchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/november-33-colour-blue.html">Country View Challenge</a> this month which is 'the colour blue'. I love the wintry, snowy feel this gives. I inked the stamp with VersaColour Icicle which is a 5 shades of blue in one inkpad so you get a lovely shading on the image:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik8dmUSyvIOLDqD4Sg3OnotCXLwVQnS-wGgRTBnrZvLfpXxMLBz7Wtfu0S-bO3cOWsG-tG_zB1O8masuv9_OLRbLlvRGza2WX2UFXAUUmoZT8ZePSVdb8W2k-DWFy5kVaV9gQWevLW73z9/s1600/P1010714.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik8dmUSyvIOLDqD4Sg3OnotCXLwVQnS-wGgRTBnrZvLfpXxMLBz7Wtfu0S-bO3cOWsG-tG_zB1O8masuv9_OLRbLlvRGza2WX2UFXAUUmoZT8ZePSVdb8W2k-DWFy5kVaV9gQWevLW73z9/s640/P1010714.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
For the second I mounted on inked blue card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMczIdRRI_3bVsd7d_l2tecALRql5kInym6tdBCZJTH0aS5E6wkaoqNOzx12TH-Ni4YSCi6qt_AuA441TTdH6givhlsLuWsda1hEHiURaDu7lUN8xSXsDLm35Pn7Pjsgqk_JBBPKyzMia8/s1600/P1010716.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMczIdRRI_3bVsd7d_l2tecALRql5kInym6tdBCZJTH0aS5E6wkaoqNOzx12TH-Ni4YSCi6qt_AuA441TTdH6givhlsLuWsda1hEHiURaDu7lUN8xSXsDLm35Pn7Pjsgqk_JBBPKyzMia8/s640/P1010716.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I used different sections of the inkpad to get the different shading on each image:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6lHQ20FFE1IW9Z-yh1KlcgzcNZRCS8J87Qvci95p_J08GmA9ZamuyN0B2L0RyuEB3_1oaxqocIQn1ekQywAHgzyIK-VaCxceEabEOqoRuRIJtCTI_u-ueVSgk1HAICEdYgF-zGEwnEj3K/s1600/P1010720.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6lHQ20FFE1IW9Z-yh1KlcgzcNZRCS8J87Qvci95p_J08GmA9ZamuyN0B2L0RyuEB3_1oaxqocIQn1ekQywAHgzyIK-VaCxceEabEOqoRuRIJtCTI_u-ueVSgk1HAICEdYgF-zGEwnEj3K/s640/P1010720.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>

I've been obsessed with autumn colours for some time and thought I really must move onto something else so since the colour blue is the challenge for November at <a href="http://countryviewchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/november-33-colour-blue.html">Country View Challenges</a> I thought blue was the way to go!<br />
<br />
I used a lovely stamp which was a freebie from <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/take-it-make-it-challenge-november.html">Craft Stamper</a> magazine from Christmas 201: <br />

I'm actually getting much better but still can't do very much - I have to pace myself very carefully. In the past I have often got very frustrated and even depressed when struggling through one of these episodes and feeling so ill. Did you notice the 'in the past'? That's right - at the moment I am NOT feeling frustrated and depressed :) I have learnt to cope with it partly by acceptance, partly by learning to listen to my body but mostly because I turn to God in it all. I read my bible and draw strength and encouragement from God's promises:<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><span class="text Hab-3-19">The Lord <span class="small-caps" style="font-variant: small-caps;">God</span> is my Strength [my source of courage, my invincible army];</span><br /><span class="text Hab-3-19">He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet</span><br /><span class="text Hab-3-19">And makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] </span></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><span class="text Hab-3-19">on my high places [of challenge and responsibility].</span></i></div>

But I have been doing some art every day - I find it really helps to keep me positive. Art and my faith of course, really I should say my faith first and also art! I don't know how I would cope without God in my life even more during these times of being unwell. As I pray and spend time with Him I am so aware of His love and care and compassion. He gives me strength to endure. I give thanks to Him for all the many, many wonderful and good things in my life and as I do that my focus is on Him, not on myself. If I start to focus on myself I can easily succumb to the POMs (poor old me!) and that wouldn't get me anywhere. I'm thankful for these times, actually. I've been here many times before and I know what to do. I look on them as little 'selahs' - selah is a word in the bible, in the psalms which is thought to mean pause and think, lift up and praise. Its an opportunity for stillness and rest in a very busy world. You see? There is a silver lining in every cloud, or as the bible says, God brings good out of everything.<br />
<br />
I find my gratitude journal a good thing to do at the moment. The pages are small and being grateful keeps me positive. Here are a couple of pages, they are quick, very imperfect pages!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuuMugT6EOd_dyTtvyqk08lse30cBNPETXCOUAa710TvV_MDyGPtUIsjgmh0zHT2tFyU9fXqyUIUDptWQ1czhaCB6vpn-rASwcd05SAvnmzUwKrUUFMwwv-JtpbfMA8p4-SVVdnS013QQv/s1600/P1010679.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuuMugT6EOd_dyTtvyqk08lse30cBNPETXCOUAa710TvV_MDyGPtUIsjgmh0zHT2tFyU9fXqyUIUDptWQ1czhaCB6vpn-rASwcd05SAvnmzUwKrUUFMwwv-JtpbfMA8p4-SVVdnS013QQv/s400/P1010679.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
They are facing pages so the colours are co-ordinated, sort of in a reverse way:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here are the tags which have a thanksgiving bible verse on one side and the things I am grateful for on that day written on the reverse:<br />

I was working on the project below. <br />
<br />
I have been all inspired by the current challenge at <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2015/10/2015-topic-20-triptychs-challenge.html">PaperArtsy</a> which is on Triptychs. I love making them. I've made several as gifts but this latest one is for us. It is a 'Give Thanks' triptych. Having a grateful heart is something very much on my heart at the moment. When we remember to be grateful, not just for the big things in our lives but also for all the little ordinary things of life, we definitely feel better, more positive, optimistic, happy with our lot. I don't ever want to take anything for granted but to be grateful to my God for His provision, big and small for me, for the beautiful world we live in, for friends and family, for the hundred and one little things that make up each day. When I thank God for these and everything it takes my focus off me and my problems and puts them on Him and His greatness and on the wonder of what it means to be His child.<br />
<br />
Here is my triptych inspired by the beautiful examples on the <a href="http://blog.paperartsy.co.uk/2015/10/2015-topic-20-triptychs-challenge.html">PaperArtsy </a>blog. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRYK4Pw9boPc7vZACtOdTpYWWAAFFplZZM59aDiFuplPyOPu3DhKeooTMbpoSx02_VI5hjVCjtAzT8-IjkjDv1iIN7eoe4czRC5tRWJAEhdujeil5k6RknyKu8AQMrKXfIPUT4bGy4V3BO/s1600/P1010661.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRYK4Pw9boPc7vZACtOdTpYWWAAFFplZZM59aDiFuplPyOPu3DhKeooTMbpoSx02_VI5hjVCjtAzT8-IjkjDv1iIN7eoe4czRC5tRWJAEhdujeil5k6RknyKu8AQMrKXfIPUT4bGy4V3BO/s400/P1010661.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted to do a traditional type triptych which I love. I cut the three sections using a double layer of thick cardboard packaging which gave a great sturdy base, then painted with Nougat and Claret PaperArtsy fresco finish chalk acrylics. I did the crackle glaze effect but wasn't happy with it so overpainted in Nougat again and distressed.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgycX5uVj2gr9KW0u9bpui83eA67_AxG7dyeyYUjjtxi1Gne1YU7nCK0z3JMxqr6sTMnIxyNWXTfDCfH_oSvW_xDXhw_7ZvI4LTqtk5pHe6kFSOXdd-yqmt9_ZanqPUhLE4qz4xONO1SfFL/s1600/P1010670.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgycX5uVj2gr9KW0u9bpui83eA67_AxG7dyeyYUjjtxi1Gne1YU7nCK0z3JMxqr6sTMnIxyNWXTfDCfH_oSvW_xDXhw_7ZvI4LTqtk5pHe6kFSOXdd-yqmt9_ZanqPUhLE4qz4xONO1SfFL/s640/P1010670.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I stencilled:<br />
<br />

Stamped a script randomly all over and a flourish around the edges - the November challenge at <a href="http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/take-it-make-it-challenge-november.html">Craft Stamper</a> is to 'Take a Stamp'.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfc0u33EnCGYZBXyEaH_hq0egKKn-hD_nMme_SR0jKWKKxAskA4-zE5wadjLsNssgKPROyqTkoj15NfuiKxuaFmfuZkJSV22-duIn5al3UljJCqtkmgaLIlfi57Ui_HH8w0DhtXTp7jtlL/s1600/P1010671.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfc0u33EnCGYZBXyEaH_hq0egKKn-hD_nMme_SR0jKWKKxAskA4-zE5wadjLsNssgKPROyqTkoj15NfuiKxuaFmfuZkJSV22-duIn5al3UljJCqtkmgaLIlfi57Ui_HH8w0DhtXTp7jtlL/s640/P1010671.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped the flowers and highlighted in gold, added texture paste through a PaperArtsy leaf stencil and painted over in gold with the stencil still in place which gives a lovely white highlight.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipZ5fE7jJ7URmICV9Aysl3fHLgeGr1YxLqMKvPVsBxSQV4zqFOwk6D8BYflf1zecRr-M_aJGaT9_Ay4IvR-fJETsqoNGvlpotRcM2Y52IN66dvtnV-Cz0J7uTnWBx8YI-wHuW1EwCbJFqX/s1600/P1010672.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipZ5fE7jJ7URmICV9Aysl3fHLgeGr1YxLqMKvPVsBxSQV4zqFOwk6D8BYflf1zecRr-M_aJGaT9_Ay4IvR-fJETsqoNGvlpotRcM2Y52IN66dvtnV-Cz0J7uTnWBx8YI-wHuW1EwCbJFqX/s640/P1010672.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I edged all the sections in gold and added the hinges which are card painted gold.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNA3g9pdYHagYDju5dPM0QuDeR9wmDkZGBlMxEnujm0wbLYgr1vd1dZICy0WriRsnJbWp_V1eAJUqgrHvOsn1zgKsJlL-7JfwDo-t_6Yj1gi3hrQGp0r5B9QiDgfKrDsbIgBXUFWf8L9CG/s1600/P1010676.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNA3g9pdYHagYDju5dPM0QuDeR9wmDkZGBlMxEnujm0wbLYgr1vd1dZICy0WriRsnJbWp_V1eAJUqgrHvOsn1zgKsJlL-7JfwDo-t_6Yj1gi3hrQGp0r5B9QiDgfKrDsbIgBXUFWf8L9CG/s640/P1010676.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Finally I printed out the thanksgiving verses. Here is the triptych lying flat:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7-OGLJa0Mk0DuKgJRL2HQipe-Ii5D48A0jyzjoXXfrrkU6MCWQDTzgmfvyLGthMPAqzkJvC-aSE0aYzcOTopIOrud1iye14Vi-Bqu-ue0ppQz88ZXRstI9sQwImXGkPAWdSk9PX1CWjPB/s1600/P1010668.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7-OGLJa0Mk0DuKgJRL2HQipe-Ii5D48A0jyzjoXXfrrkU6MCWQDTzgmfvyLGthMPAqzkJvC-aSE0aYzcOTopIOrud1iye14Vi-Bqu-ue0ppQz88ZXRstI9sQwImXGkPAWdSk9PX1CWjPB/s400/P1010668.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It was so fun to do and I'm really pleased with it. It will serve as a great reminder to keep a grateful heart.<br />
<br />
The triptych challenge finishes today but I'm going to go on making them!<br />

The days I go to work (only Tuesdays and Thursdays now) its just not going to be possible I discovered yesterday . I simply haven't got the energy after work. The last few years I've had major flare ups of chronic fatigue in the autumn. This year I'm keeping going but really have no reserves of energy at all, so I go to work and church and that's about it. Thank God for creativity because it keeps me sane! I might not have energy to go careering around doing loads of stuff but I can play and pray :)<br />
<br />
Here are my next 2 pages in my gratitude journal, I did the backrounds on Wednesday and the tags today.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidZieCFVxFzy5RBBSkXaM50u0YSC4Hn4tX3jq9Tbo-BZN4e5sq9zBAEMqVYiQsZNHw_HvnbVjazEU0bm2VNErmUSfF1SM087Ss9MZiRJe5XuljCf09oUjOtXJ2A9FC6AeBG53A4cO6kV2Q/s1600/P1010646.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidZieCFVxFzy5RBBSkXaM50u0YSC4Hn4tX3jq9Tbo-BZN4e5sq9zBAEMqVYiQsZNHw_HvnbVjazEU0bm2VNErmUSfF1SM087Ss9MZiRJe5XuljCf09oUjOtXJ2A9FC6AeBG53A4cO6kV2Q/s400/P1010646.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I love the bible, I find it really helps me. When I read about God and how much He loves us and all His promises its a huge encouragement. So the idea of the tags is to have a thanksgiving scripture on the front and my own thanksgiving for the day written on the back. The tags are stuck with repositional glue dots so I can read what's on the back at any time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF0DzE5e0u-2ZCiiesLrNik3_7MLZaf8JEVq_k0u0MskdVFlh-IY-ML-Mn52N4HuPvQ-fVTJsuN9Eld1Ky7qXRNrQD_oZlwZGA6lT0B8NaGL2qLN7pgLBOg_nvo3afDF3q-QVEXyR1NMLL/s1600/P1010651.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF0DzE5e0u-2ZCiiesLrNik3_7MLZaf8JEVq_k0u0MskdVFlh-IY-ML-Mn52N4HuPvQ-fVTJsuN9Eld1Ky7qXRNrQD_oZlwZGA6lT0B8NaGL2qLN7pgLBOg_nvo3afDF3q-QVEXyR1NMLL/s400/P1010651.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
These were very quick and simple backrounds and tags. I added texture paste and stamped into the circles:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIvGg-2VqHfLR7tIsL2v_uc3ehE1fEWicIrc9n9xNh9OkJ7q9a3VFjRf1YoNUKX_IAhcUMHCX67oKHZrW0LSlsVqwBT2iwdIXvp_CkdZ1jS4gyWtgN4vGcCkloAZlf87jQGnwsED33hOBl/s1600/P1010650.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIvGg-2VqHfLR7tIsL2v_uc3ehE1fEWicIrc9n9xNh9OkJ7q9a3VFjRf1YoNUKX_IAhcUMHCX67oKHZrW0LSlsVqwBT2iwdIXvp_CkdZ1jS4gyWtgN4vGcCkloAZlf87jQGnwsED33hOBl/s640/P1010650.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Today I'm so thankful that this year I am working and not totally laid up. I'm thankful for the energy that I do have and for the wonderful gift of creativity. I'm thankful for colour and paint and fun things to do. I'm thankful for my wonderful supportive family and friends, including all my blogland friends who are so very encouraging. Bless you all.<br />

<br />
Here is another triptych which I made inspired by the triptych challenge at <a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=6099181109574103407#editor/target=post;postID=7987498276489882459">PaperArtsy</a> and in particular by a gorgeous example by Jo Firth-Young who is the designer of my favourite Jofy stamps. Her <a href="http://jofirthyoung.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/bloom-and-grow.html">Bloom and Grow triptych</a> was a horizontal rectangular one and I thought it would be fun to try and do one with the house stamp. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjxA0E1vUCKGQxRUYaSZqHAhr2eJ85RqVLKiy20p0LiNYO58_oTFWbW-hQH2XoB6BGA7LIgeoHgOnvBYh2Q_-f6HIVOwa0FVU1dzXWZIIHDrL9EXDDno1rfVEbz4f5aAprQbzPBZlAEhej/s1600/P1010625.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjxA0E1vUCKGQxRUYaSZqHAhr2eJ85RqVLKiy20p0LiNYO58_oTFWbW-hQH2XoB6BGA7LIgeoHgOnvBYh2Q_-f6HIVOwa0FVU1dzXWZIIHDrL9EXDDno1rfVEbz4f5aAprQbzPBZlAEhej/s640/P1010625.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
It was really fun to do. I cut the rectangles from thick cardboard packaging and brayered Smurf and Glass Blue freso finish chalk acrylics, then had fun with stencils and stamps on the backround. I love the house stamp, love that its got the word 'sanctuary' on it which is what everyone's home should be. I stamped, painted and cut out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCdbVI2oLOIX-jgXvEq8rOIuRLuk06FMetlslrOunR-yEkjmYVI6e_lyAw6VPzxM_ONjCtMmAreEprSNqvlLdel7m8ml3bWndITdJvjzuiR-k1wPfvDDtQjim1okkS7aYQDoISU-cN7yru/s1600/P1010633.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCdbVI2oLOIX-jgXvEq8rOIuRLuk06FMetlslrOunR-yEkjmYVI6e_lyAw6VPzxM_ONjCtMmAreEprSNqvlLdel7m8ml3bWndITdJvjzuiR-k1wPfvDDtQjim1okkS7aYQDoISU-cN7yru/s640/P1010633.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I really don't like fussy cutting but these trees, part of the house set, were just crying out to be cut out: <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijYnZ1ec1FL7oHnIwabYnlX51HptJ8uygpcMw1HDmyIXa3S0tG6JRXDuZTKXRlUQSZn-xTeeeu9rUMZGHFJexE73sNFZf84H36Y5cp_VOwJe-tZSqeEHBMAFQHRiWasHrY1018c4LziFbe/s1600/P1010628.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijYnZ1ec1FL7oHnIwabYnlX51HptJ8uygpcMw1HDmyIXa3S0tG6JRXDuZTKXRlUQSZn-xTeeeu9rUMZGHFJexE73sNFZf84H36Y5cp_VOwJe-tZSqeEHBMAFQHRiWasHrY1018c4LziFbe/s640/P1010628.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
I die cut the letters from card which I had painted with London Bus, same as the house, then added a little stamping for interest:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_nqhPjy-LclmFsBxUdyhdK29I6uLJeelmiJRfVL4lTKepU30YYh6T2R4-r0UGd_ugD7EpdWAAq-N8JGaHoSV0cCqM_5Yf0Zj9ypDDPCEuefTd3g49wqu73LpgTO8c6QfHlLXJNP4ryira/s1600/P1010630.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_nqhPjy-LclmFsBxUdyhdK29I6uLJeelmiJRfVL4lTKepU30YYh6T2R4-r0UGd_ugD7EpdWAAq-N8JGaHoSV0cCqM_5Yf0Zj9ypDDPCEuefTd3g49wqu73LpgTO8c6QfHlLXJNP4ryira/s640/P1010630.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I stuck it all down, mounting the house on foam pads with a tree partly behind. I punched holes with my trusty Crop-A-Dile and threaded cord from my recycle stash. I didn't have enough cord so will need to redo this when I get some otherwise I will have two spare holes on the bottom layer!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpZpnCaFTr4JZo9nRWH-5E0xjCmUJegWlT7cc5bcUBIV20yqy8ldGDhmXtQ-m_9JClvzXGlMkb-ntghGIUJjCBGMFPD25tBOJHazhBX118TdBDn7aJyTqPTJvCrL_gHuPGV2uo6IekOYOW/s1600/P1010627.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpZpnCaFTr4JZo9nRWH-5E0xjCmUJegWlT7cc5bcUBIV20yqy8ldGDhmXtQ-m_9JClvzXGlMkb-ntghGIUJjCBGMFPD25tBOJHazhBX118TdBDn7aJyTqPTJvCrL_gHuPGV2uo6IekOYOW/s640/P1010627.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
and layering the trees, leaving some unstuck for depth:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPlXNUCwvC7lst7Z8ZmtUYtMw6slzxPYZw-aNGXzjVx-ztH9gb0hAdxPU1qv5XgYDm8g17WDdo493GJl1L6fRYOuEezwrgh4JQjGmVXzfdbx80ionocLrITmJDmDp7agElWiGxxH7_KqRm/s1600/P1010632.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPlXNUCwvC7lst7Z8ZmtUYtMw6slzxPYZw-aNGXzjVx-ztH9gb0hAdxPU1qv5XgYDm8g17WDdo493GJl1L6fRYOuEezwrgh4JQjGmVXzfdbx80ionocLrITmJDmDp7agElWiGxxH7_KqRm/s640/P1010632.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>

I thought I'd look at the meaning of gratefulness for this page and looked it up in the thesaurus. I love some of the expressions for grateful - overflow with gratitude, receive with open arms, praise Heaven. Overflow! Open Arms! Praise Heaven! All words that speak of brimming and fullness and joy and good feeling. Isn't that how we all wish to be! Its how we all CAN be by having a heart that is thankful and never forgets so never takes things for granted.<br />
<br />
Here is my page, since it faces my title page I've done it in the same style in autumn colours which I can't stop using at the moment! Perfect for this month's theme at <a href="http://art-journal-journey.blogspot.co.uk/">Art Journal Journey</a>!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwUEDfecNqwZYGFKVICopGn-yUcYrNq8XYTrsOj8oQJ9M-5OqBxfiskGfKcHebEc0xNkIaS_RFFdJkE3AjZLaS85JVy-XLH6wsJoKFcL5cHjni5KUKmP1ZH-W7cX-eKgvIiLaIv8Knl0F0/s1600/P1010618.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwUEDfecNqwZYGFKVICopGn-yUcYrNq8XYTrsOj8oQJ9M-5OqBxfiskGfKcHebEc0xNkIaS_RFFdJkE3AjZLaS85JVy-XLH6wsJoKFcL5cHjni5KUKmP1ZH-W7cX-eKgvIiLaIv8Knl0F0/s400/P1010618.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I swiped the colours, a simple yellow, orange and red, around with a baby wipe: <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbNMutIVEuOFWlb1-M1tBA21q1fLvHM2nEjERzurfQ10TJdSMofvEqUuGKg_G5IMAJH2TV1NXj3SMaZB1Y4kuwLyC2n_fnxlQcmCiOjLsckg1zEP3NWEmOf3pRumVPpHw6eq0dAbn9WQY4/s1600/P1010623.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbNMutIVEuOFWlb1-M1tBA21q1fLvHM2nEjERzurfQ10TJdSMofvEqUuGKg_G5IMAJH2TV1NXj3SMaZB1Y4kuwLyC2n_fnxlQcmCiOjLsckg1zEP3NWEmOf3pRumVPpHw6eq0dAbn9WQY4/s400/P1010623.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
and stencilled and stamped:<br />

What am I particularly thankful for today?<br />
For my job which I love and which I can do despite flare ups of chronic fatigue,<br />
For special friends who have been there for me in recent trouble,<br />
For a God who loves me, wants the best for me, walks beside me,<br />
For autumn colours!<br />

I'm going to try and do something every day in it for the whole of November to coincide with <a href="http://creativeeveryday.com/">Art Every Day Month</a> and also <a href="http://www.dapoppins.com/2015/11/the-heart-of-gratitude-journey-november.html">The Heart of Gratitude Journey</a> which is for two weeks. <br />
<br />
Having a grateful heart is so important, no - more than that - its necessary! It helps make us positive people, who will always see the best in everything and everyone and won't let us take things for granted. Dominic (my husband) and I have a cup of tea (made by him :) ) every morning before we get up and have a chat and a pray and we start off by giving thanks to our amazing God for the good things that happened the previous day, or just for whatever we can think of. It gets the day off to a great start!<br />
<br />
Here is the title page for my Grateful journal:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfY9QcBk64gRJCZEshYfaTuZe5iuCuoKc8SS2-M2_Wp4IMeXZ2jA6n96oVEjFeAfkANVeRjW9I3uVXm4JqKh6mN4PAkOsa7V2Ogs2_iBLfkNSBq03-siCAwAi1fiwxgXMviIqzvhdSu5kB/s1600/P1010612.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfY9QcBk64gRJCZEshYfaTuZe5iuCuoKc8SS2-M2_Wp4IMeXZ2jA6n96oVEjFeAfkANVeRjW9I3uVXm4JqKh6mN4PAkOsa7V2Ogs2_iBLfkNSBq03-siCAwAi1fiwxgXMviIqzvhdSu5kB/s400/P1010612.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I used autumn colours again, can't seem to stop using them! I love them and its also the theme for the month at <a href="http://art-journal-journey.blogspot.co.uk/">Art Journal Journey.</a> I started off by splodging paint and spreading with a baby wipe then stencilling.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH9dTz9gSBfciKdl629yqzaNBu79jtoux_YHFPu_Mrg5qIr6wuex846zRv0VdfFsuxYaTGhIrHJjbBuATuwfr0BLYGyF05WRrHrC_Kotw2ZlgVqX2L8DsaF8S5PB7HbRj-wpOT9FZE_o-U/s1600/P1010614.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH9dTz9gSBfciKdl629yqzaNBu79jtoux_YHFPu_Mrg5qIr6wuex846zRv0VdfFsuxYaTGhIrHJjbBuATuwfr0BLYGyF05WRrHrC_Kotw2ZlgVqX2L8DsaF8S5PB7HbRj-wpOT9FZE_o-U/s400/P1010614.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I remembered I had a thank you stamp which seems perfect for this journal so its going to appear in lots more pages!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWjut8FtzJOALDW8dagrUfsHDye4gjOEmAbD-_FyMzVbRGecpVLBtHyalNxfI0b2AyBFCKZ4HSjFAysX2NCmmKKVD6GVQ6UPRpny2Rzf5N_g6ltaSz2SJxkq-vPCcZXrJ0obs5YszF3UUz/s1600/P1010613.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWjut8FtzJOALDW8dagrUfsHDye4gjOEmAbD-_FyMzVbRGecpVLBtHyalNxfI0b2AyBFCKZ4HSjFAysX2NCmmKKVD6GVQ6UPRpny2Rzf5N_g6ltaSz2SJxkq-vPCcZXrJ0obs5YszF3UUz/s400/P1010613.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped some more and stamped the title which I wanted with the bright yellow in the backround:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieauerpVahhyP4GKPP2wtLvXTSPgfT40VjuCxSIptD0ubTH5d_nWxApDbW2EKy_b6YoOle-g8GvCnkm1TMuNn-3sU5uS-FMUOeHlQ3vOMwf0dEdt418TXB4LSUPcpCD5vldnkhN0muW5i9/s1600/P1010617.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieauerpVahhyP4GKPP2wtLvXTSPgfT40VjuCxSIptD0ubTH5d_nWxApDbW2EKy_b6YoOle-g8GvCnkm1TMuNn-3sU5uS-FMUOeHlQ3vOMwf0dEdt418TXB4LSUPcpCD5vldnkhN0muW5i9/s400/P1010617.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

I have only ever made one before for my daughter, see it <a href="http://faithwordsfaithexpressions.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/triptych-quietness-stillness-strength.html">here</a>. They are really fun to do and I am definitely going to be doing a lot more of them! <br />
<br />
Its also the first day of <a href="http://creativeeveryday.com/">Art Every Day Month</a> at Creative Every Day. This will be the second year I do this. Last year I didn't quite manage every day, but the idea is to give it a go and if you miss a day - it doesn't matter. The whole point is not to get stressed but to have fun with it and encourage creativity.<br />
<br />
Here is my triptych:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTu0OBlz1vnERdxgSSWDy50hVXL8Hrv9Stkjrq39a2hCmIQo-r76TQowpfh_0awy-wZRa_Ka_wvJNwFs8zHyeLZ5osMX2Ngwkn1NUb-O5pe7AEXbh_nbDmESgE0np-ksneck2C1imLIA5b/s1600/P1010604.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTu0OBlz1vnERdxgSSWDy50hVXL8Hrv9Stkjrq39a2hCmIQo-r76TQowpfh_0awy-wZRa_Ka_wvJNwFs8zHyeLZ5osMX2Ngwkn1NUb-O5pe7AEXbh_nbDmESgE0np-ksneck2C1imLIA5b/s400/P1010604.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I cut the backround out of thick cardboard packaging and added tissue paper and layers of paint:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiE8mdYlYLorFCgwwCMsAb239HEysfMInrsdzzT5RfoQVHSjeDy3uhpGnk7kuLrTC1s3_WuuXS2FvxyMccGhh5KNJvt4-F9tFDTRlnDTD65OG2gzs2Ez-L_oYIsNm64hwtwyKA1EaeSTfzP/s1600/P1010605.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiE8mdYlYLorFCgwwCMsAb239HEysfMInrsdzzT5RfoQVHSjeDy3uhpGnk7kuLrTC1s3_WuuXS2FvxyMccGhh5KNJvt4-F9tFDTRlnDTD65OG2gzs2Ez-L_oYIsNm64hwtwyKA1EaeSTfzP/s640/P1010605.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
some stencilling - including a Crafters Workshop houndstooth which I love:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz1IhpJdseyxukRwgG_7fwnToctt2TaSSov_NT3VcOc10-BQX4GBkMfBozwnzt4PDc9Sqt8x8jNR6Aqhy9gndBVA-PLMGauMY2zgkRV3J1Yt-Z0FKOD7SNyQccdia3NdMZt_gtTlGwuPTh/s1600/P1010606.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz1IhpJdseyxukRwgG_7fwnToctt2TaSSov_NT3VcOc10-BQX4GBkMfBozwnzt4PDc9Sqt8x8jNR6Aqhy9gndBVA-PLMGauMY2zgkRV3J1Yt-Z0FKOD7SNyQccdia3NdMZt_gtTlGwuPTh/s640/P1010606.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
and stamping:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKBOk__ApArmlm_jLZTaf1zs2Frd7HSTohK-nGB1X8FQL1k6DOXEyqJmPjf_l3voB2tOuUdESQDI1mkZLMoVk5ErSY6otBleaFyn5hdRScfCCTRZcJ3yq1fy9ig0sfl2aGjxAX6J6EXIE6/s1600/P1010609.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKBOk__ApArmlm_jLZTaf1zs2Frd7HSTohK-nGB1X8FQL1k6DOXEyqJmPjf_l3voB2tOuUdESQDI1mkZLMoVk5ErSY6otBleaFyn5hdRScfCCTRZcJ3yq1fy9ig0sfl2aGjxAX6J6EXIE6/s640/P1010609.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
texture paste through a gorgeous PaperArtsy stencil and finally the words which were all on friends:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilraNS5IdoQPOhu1OYkoSouwNI58GKrMZhkycS6eJCV2URwQ0AqOyjNEHCZ85-QIt9VZNo1STPKoQrGRnhCkKXMdzH6iaesFmVarPgMF1cXzAZ1aAbksMgRAcB8zln6_ck5PsKlwy4kC8Y/s1600/P1010607.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilraNS5IdoQPOhu1OYkoSouwNI58GKrMZhkycS6eJCV2URwQ0AqOyjNEHCZ85-QIt9VZNo1STPKoQrGRnhCkKXMdzH6iaesFmVarPgMF1cXzAZ1aAbksMgRAcB8zln6_ck5PsKlwy4kC8Y/s640/P1010607.JPG" width="480" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love using texture paste with this stencil, although I made a bit of a mess in my haste! I initially sponged in a creamy colour and edged in black but didn't like it so I put the stencil back over and sponged again in white. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWWKvdugblJtxiS5N3nRzx8UiIwZ8TNb6jGqsonX7Xln1Qty7uWNUzeFzU-59AX1bolQYZnzTap63ROnKntRey_9A1H61g-8A1AtZC3F58yIvrIj4SkQaArDvaG2NBwdZSCwFU9RXRlsaU/s1600/P1010608.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWWKvdugblJtxiS5N3nRzx8UiIwZ8TNb6jGqsonX7Xln1Qty7uWNUzeFzU-59AX1bolQYZnzTap63ROnKntRey_9A1H61g-8A1AtZC3F58yIvrIj4SkQaArDvaG2NBwdZSCwFU9RXRlsaU/s640/P1010608.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Friend quotes are great to include on gifts and cards for friends and I hope Sarah will like this triptych.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now I'm off to start my next one! There's lots of inspiration on the <a href="http://www.paperartsy.co.uk/">PaperArtsy</a> blog.</div>

The current <a href="http://triplethescraps.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/glory-art-scripture-challenge-18_25.html">Glory Art</a> Scripture Challenge is 'Thankful'. This is actually a topic very much on my heart at the moment. <span style="font-size: small;">Nurturing thankfulness is so much an attitude of heart. We need to be thankful for the little things we take for granted in our life - </span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: small;"></span>the sun, light, running water, green grass, beautiful flowers and a world of colour, good food, the list is endless.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> </span>The bible tells us to be grateful many times. Its easy to be thankful for the good things but we are to </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><span style="font-size: xx-small;">1 Thess 5: 18</span></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> That means no moaning and complaining! - oh dear! I'm afraid I can lapse into that all too easily! If we thank God for all things no matter what is happening in our lives we will keep a grateful
heart and trust Him and I guess this is what He wants - a relationship
with us where we really truly put our trust in Him knowing that He
brings all things to good. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">Here are my scripture cards:</span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>

Every day when I wake up I've got into the habit of thanking God for at least 5 things which happened the previous day. I've found that the benefit of that is that it makes me focus on what is positive and sets me up nicely for the day. It has helped me this autumn while I have been unwell with a flareup of chronic fatigue following a virus. I'm much better now although still having to pace myself. I'm sure staying positive and looking at the good things has really helped.<br />
<br />
Yet another thing to be thankful for!<br />
